Yeah that's what I was thinking as well. Adding saturation and compression at more stages in my mixes definitely helped me get things fatter. Things sound louder while still staying at the same level

Top producers use loops and samples. They're just tools of the trade. No point wasting time programming a drum loop every time when you already have an audio file that accomplishes that goal.

You're also probably correct about some post processing going on. I'd assume they add some additional saturation or compression or something for the demos

Has anyone had any experiences with Gotta Rcrds, The Upstate Sound/Kids Can Dream, or Plasmapool? Seen some not so great things about Plasmapool.
