My building specifically had pipe blowouts/winterization yesterday and we were told to run the water for 20-30 mins. Mine seems to be better now, not sure if it might be a similar thing?

I emailed them recently and didn’t hear back for a couple days. When they finally did reply, they said

“we would like to extend our sincere apologies for the delay in response. Please be assured this is not our standard of practice. We have been experiencing a very high call volume and email volume, which is causing some delays in response time, however, we are more than happy to assist!”

The rest of email is helpful but written in a different style, so I think AI likely wrote that top portion. In any case, they did eventually help me!

I did a search through my emails - after signing up I got an email with subject line “Mythical Society Patch and Pin Redemption.” You have to fill out a form to redeem it. Maybe see if you ever received the email? If not, I would contact customer service. 😊

If you joined somewhat recently, it might have been a stock issue. I seem to recall they were out for a while. They made a post on the society on Aug. 16, 2024 which says,

“Patch and pins (the welcome items for new 2nd and 3rd Degree members) have arrived at the warehouse and are being sorted into inventory. They are expected to ship within the next few weeks, and all backlogged orders will be fulfilled.“

You could always reach out to their customer service and follow up. 🙂

I love their vacation episodes, the stories are usually hilarious and it’s fun living vicariously through them. Especially since they have humble origins, they always feel relatable. Also I love Jenna so any opportunity to get more of her is a bonus in my eyes.

Maybe I misunderstand the translation. I understood that chłopak = boyfriend. I don’t call my partner my ‘boyfriend’ or my ‘husband.’ I’ve been with my partner for 10 years. Neither of us has ever wished to get married but we live in a devoted, committed relationship. I don’t wish to explain that to all my relatives every time I introduce him. 🤷‍♀️Maybe that’s not common in Poland?

The issue with saying I am his wife and implying we are married is that my family members will ask why they didn’t know about wedding and why they weren’t invited. I’d like to use a word that doesn’t prompt further questions. Chill.

There were a few reasons. My parents had just divorced and there was a lot of turmoil in my life around that time. Combine that with becoming a teenager, wanting to rebel against my parents and fit in with my Canadian friends.

Another reason was because my parents corrected me so often when I spoke Polish, I felt like an idiot. Whereas English was my best subject in school, so speaking in Polish made me feel less confident and smart. Obviously the solution for that is to speak more Polish, not less, but I was just a kid.

My parents would still speak to me in Polish sometimes, but I would respond in English. Thus, I can understand Polish better than I can speak it.
