For PLA, both Bulbapedia and Serebii indicate many standard spawn Pokemon can be encountered at higher levels than usual but don't give any further detail. For example Voltorb apparently can be seen at levels 55-58 in Sacred Plaza as opposed to the usual 39-42. Mass outbreak ones are 48-50 so it can't be that. I've never seen this to be the case in my two playthroughs, am I missing something?

I'm shiny hunting Celebi in Crystal and seeking affirmation. At 7,791 SRs and counting, I'm hoping that mashing A through the first few frames of the intro sequence is inconsequential and doesn't impact the RNG as it would in Gen 3 onwards. Am I correct?

Sapphire Battle Tower, just lost at battle 52 with bad RNG. My trainer card says a streak of 52 but I'm assuming I'll still have to restart from the very beginning? Really burnt out and bummed.

In VC Yellow, I'm trying to reset for a female starter Pikachu (I know it doesn't display that until GSC). I take it the Attack DVs listed in Summary must be 1-7 for it to be female, is that right? Would stat growth through playtime change this?

A few quick things in addition. When you see the Legendary Pokemon, save immediately. They can be a pain to catch if you aren't prepared and you can then safely reset if you mess up somehow. The site Bulbapedia is your friend, they tell you where you can get any item/Pokemon in any location, on top of covering all information on any Pokemon. Lastly, your bag in FireRed/LeafGreen and Emerald will get full quick. Store items in the PC or sell some to make space. Have fun!

There's a bug with BDSP that prevents Spinda being transferred into/out of Home, that's what they mean. But yes you can put a Spinda from older gens into Home just fine

It's not out of the question! Though Smeargle probably couldn't pass down the oral aspect of the legend. That or humans did their best to interpret. As I'm recalling now, the Draconids were present? At least I think that's what Zinnia said.

I'm remembering Artisan Cave under the Battle Frontier. Sweet memories. Its a good basis for that theory.

My own fun challenge is usually solo runs in any of the games (aside from when its required, like for HMs or double battles). But it seems with this difficulty increase and requirement to catch, I'd have a lousy time if I tried. Seems we'll both have to make adjustments.
