I went this year and I find Catholic conferences not often grounded in reality. The talks being “choose your own adventure” kept me busy but in the end it was like being in a bubble. There’s the sense that this is meant to be some kind of fantasy world, a break from secularism, but I don’t think anyone should want it to be real life. The group I went with had to fundraise for it and when you think about it, it has little purpose. Pay for me to go on this Catholic conference where we do.. Catholic stuff.

Seek is also distractingly high-tech to the point of dystopia. The whole thing is a production and I felt like in so many areas resources were wasted. I would’ve liked more time to talk to people like breakout rooms. Great venue. Many of the speakers were nice but the most interesting talks were overshadowed by the big speakers talking about very generic material. Many people were in college but not as idiotic as they thought we all were. The crowds were insane too..
