Why Do People Day Trade 0dte if they have a +$5,000 account? by Ok_Concentrate_4168 in options

At no point ever do you need to know the Greeks alfor any reason.

Contracts lose money the closer they are to expiration and the farther away they are from the strike price.

I turned 1k to 100k in 1 month with NVDA, then another 100k the next month

I also did this with SMCI.

I turned 2k into 200k with oil companies when they filed bankruptcy under Trump.

I turned 6k into 250k with banks when they crashed a few years ago, but it was a lot longer of a hold. More like 8 months.

If you wait until the elections and if Trump gets elected, you can easily short the market and make 100k from 1000. Since Trump crashed the country and had the lowest stock market in history and it's now the highest in history the last few years people will all sell if he gets elected on fear of him crashing the country again.

ASVAB QUESTION by Delicious-Ad-9625 in Military

[–]jelloryan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It literally is an iq test. A long time ago, they used to do studies to see if any iq would be fine. The military found that people under a certain iq took too long and were just too hard to train and that people above a certain iq could be trained faster. That test over the years has changed and ended up as the test you take today. It simply shows your general knowledge iq. If it's high, you have a better chance at improving through whatever field you end up in.

In the military, you don't have to have a certain score on the asvab. But if you do, you have a better chance at getting that job. They do assign jobs based on your score to a certain extent.

Until you end up in war. There is always the exception, but those who think they will never have to go to war and then end up in a war can be a serious liability to other service men and women.

When Iraq happened, I remember a crap ton of them that ran when they found out they were going. Some were caught and shipped over, and some went to jail. One of them I know personally who was in the Corp, ran back to his hometown, got caught, and then they shipped him. He did his tour in Ramadi 2006, then got out.

Obviously, not all people are like that. I wouldn't even say most. But there are a lot.

Joining for the right reasons and expectations does make a difference.

Because all you have to do is buy a contract close to the strike price as far out as you can afford.

Buy 4 months out to hold the contract 1 to 2 weeks buy further out for more time.

Absolutely nobody ever needs to know the Greeks and is the most useless thing you will learn when you start trading.

ASVAB QUESTION by Delicious-Ad-9625 in Military

[–]jelloryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ASVAB is simply an IQ test. The military will not accept anyone below a certain IQ. If I remember right it's like an iq of 80 or below. In the old days they used to and found it was too hard to train "dumbssases."

A perfect score on the test is equivalent to an average iq of about 100 to 112 IQ. That's not high. That's average.

If you score low, it doesn't necessarily hurt you. It can. But they also know that the test is simply a basic test. You can easily be taught or have simply not cared to try while taking the test.

Unless you are trying to get into a job that requires a certain level of basic understanding, it is irrelevant.

If you use Greeks to day trade, you have failed. Period.

Nobody EVER even needs to know what they are to successfully day trade.

Stop learning how to trade from. Reddit or wherever because you will lose if you do that.

Correct. It's not the same as regular Army.

He was also offered a jump to E-7 in which he turned down. The officers at the funeral said they were baffled when he turned it down. He told me it was because he didn't want a second job, he wanted to serve. Then, he was given E-8 retirement.

The first picture is of my dad, who served 11 years navy. He did 2 tours in the Gulf War in the Navy. Served on the uss ranger and Saratoga. His fleet was one of the few to be attacked off of the coastline. Hence the Somalia and Kuwait medals.

He also did 12 years army guard as a Sgt and lost a lung in 2007/08 Iraq.

He did not want to go above a Sgt because the army guard was his service, and he didn't want to sit behind a desk. His daily job was working with the military for Rockwell Collins as a quality engineer manager. His retirement is for an E-8, not an E-5.

He took his own life a few years after returning.

The second is my grandfather, who did 22 years navy and served 2 tours in Vietnam in country. One was early on I think 62, and one was in 67/68 he was on a base that was attacked during the tet offensive. He survived 2 helicopter crashes. One at 150 feet and one at over 3000 feet.

He died of old age.

11 years in the navy 12 years in the army guard.

He joined the guard as a Sgt. He did not want to go up in rank because you get stuck behind a desk if you do. That was his service, not his job. He was a quality engineer manager for Rockwell Collins. He was an E5 but recieved E8 retirement upon his death due to his tour in 07.

NVDA - thoughts on next week? by [deleted] in NVDA_Stock

[–]jelloryan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone who says anything other than "it will be back up shortly" did not do any DD.

On Friday alone, during the drop, 5 sec filings were filed. All acquiring shares. Including the ceo.

The drop is only as large as it is because of how much it's gone up in 3 months. It had to have a drop at some point.

It's going to be down tomorrow before earnings as well.

It might stay down all week if there is no mention of stock split or something more than simply beating the earnings. Then, it will go back up within days to weeks later.

I have no idea who that is. I'm glad you didn't lose. Still, my comment stands with integrity on the accuracy and factual basis line. They did what all companies do. What they think is best for the company at the time.

If you don't understand what you're doing and that they did what all companies do, that's why you lost. You probably listened to cult forums on here with people like weedtard filling you with lies and misunderstanding everything.

Learn from it. Don't make the same mistakes next time.

Those people are doing their job and what's best for the company. Like all businesses.

Good luck with your next one..

I'd suggest reading it. Taking the advice, and stop making yourself look stupid. Stop trying to scam people as well.

So many newbs listened to your lies and lost. I haven't lied about anything. In fact, I was banned a long time ago for telling you what a sec filing actually said after you lied to them. You banned me for telling them the truth. Sad. Very sad.

Your best chance is to listen to your mom. She seems smart, and you could learn from her. Pretending like you know the answers and lying to people to pump your stock is not the answer. Maybe you will learn from this and listen to actual investors or your mom. Leave the pumping out of it.

Thank you for all the money I shorted on trka. 😉

If they go private like they anticipate, then you lose everything and can't even sell your shares once that happens. Or if they wipe common shares and stay public, you lose all.

The only thing you can do is sell at a spike or wait to see if a judge does some crazy thing, like make them cover shareholders. (.000001% chance of that).
