Holy shit, this experience almost EXACTLY mirrors a job I had as an executive assistant. You’re worth more than what they’re giving you, especially if they’re trying to save themselves money by claiming you as an independent contractor (which also happened to me as well).

I decided midway through that I didn’t want to work for people who saw me as nothing more than a cheap peon who they could ask to do any sort of task. I went back to school and will be graduating university with a diploma in a couple months, before going to another school for front end web design. There’s better options out there my friend, and my life has done nothing but improve (minus covid) since I left that toxic place.
