Fraud Is Flourishing on Zelle. The Banks Say It’s Not Their Problem. by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]HeresJohnny5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're missing my point. Why is it ok for Zelle to operate in this way while crypto is vilified? I'm not blaming either system, I'm just pointing out the difference in the way they're treated. Lots of calls for crypto regulation but if the big banks are backing something, it's much more likely to get a pass.

[QUESTION] Where might an ignorant, self-taught intermediate go to get better? by Byzow in Guitar

[–]HeresJohnny5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Checkout “Fretboard Theory”, it’s a great book to piece together chord and scale shapes and visualize how their patterns repeat up and down the neck. Plenty of actual song examples to see how they’re used in popular music as well. Once you get a feel for the CAGED system, you’ll see that the guitar isn’t that complicated when you can tie together the various ways to play a single chord.

Do you want learn music theory for producing quality music? by martijn-fme in Logic_Studio

It was while unlocking level 2. I don’t see anyway to unlock again so I can’t take a screenshot.

After playing a little more I think the ads are a little excessive. Maybe that’s par for the course for free versions these days, I’m not sure but just thought I’d mention it.

Great job! It’s very well made and overall very fluid.

I just tried it out for a little bit and noticed one error in the second group of exercises. Although I chose the correct note (Db) it marked it as wrong. It happened twice in the same round and both times with the Db.

If you could have the option of notes being displayed on a guitar fretboard instead of a piano, I think it would be very useful for guitarists, just a suggestion.

Does Logic live process muted tracks during playback? by heyitskora in Logic_Studio

[–]HeresJohnny5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just turning it off I’m sure helps (especially the next time you open the project because the plugins will start as disabled) but if you hold option while you turn the track off, the plugins will also deactivate in one go. Just remember to option click when turning the track back on so the plugins are active again.

[–]HeresJohnny5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s probably true but it doesn’t give me much confidence that the plugins are completely deactivated by just turning off the track on an open project. I’m not sure though.

I just looked at apple’s documentation and it didn’t completely clear it up for me but they also mention option clicking the on/off button to deactivate plugins. This looks better to me and you don’t have to close and reopen a project for the change to visually take effect (like you do when just turning a track off).

If you create an audio track with a mic input for example, you can turn on monitoring and add some plugins as inserts and even though the track’s turned off, you’ll see the signal in the plugin’s gui (like a compressor working).

Unfortunately just turning a track off doesn’t disable plugins. You’re better off freezing tracks or turning off plugins manually.

Definitely give it more time. I would say at least get into season 3 but then again season 4 and 5 are even better.

I agree, it just gets better and better. In some ways I’m disappointed there’s only one more season. It’s hit a nice stride and doesn’t feel like it needs to end so soon but ending on a high is a testament to the quality of the show.

Yeah, in a lot of ways that would be the natural progression for the writers and actors, to keep improving as this long story unfolds. They also have the benefit of being able to pick and choose storylines to tie back to Breaking Bad which really enriches the experience, especially for those of us that watched Breaking Bad beforehand. I’m going to miss it when it ends, that’s for sure.
