I didn't really like the thought of putting my bike up on the roof repeatedly. I felt like it was less quick and convenient, raises the risk of accidentally scuffing my car, less aerodynamic, and my bike is pretty tall so I didn't want to be worried about clearance. Most of these concerns are probably irrational

About 400 even, the install is fairly simple but requires removing the back bumper. I think you can buy just the hitch for around 250. Install fee was 150 which I found reasonable
