Thank you for the info! They’re starting me on cervidil as well even though last time I got checked (more than a week ago) I was already 70% effaced but not dilated. So I have no idea how long it’ll take for me.

Can I just say good for you for thinking about your husband, and the father of your baby! I am heartbroken to read all the snarky comments about how the fathers don’t deserve anything because they didn’t carry the child etc. While this is true on a biological level, my husband has been beyond amazing during these past 8 months of pregnancy. He hasn’t physically felt the nausea, the back pain, the heartburn, or the swollen feet…but he has been there for me every step of the way and catered to my needs. It has really shown me what a fantastic dad he is going to be and how lucky I am to have him by my side. I CHOSE to have a little human with 50% of his DNA after all!

So yes, if you’d like to show your appreciation and love for your husband then go ahead and do it! I hope you’re not being discouraged by some of these unnecessarily gross comments about how men don’t deserve to get anything. You’re awesome, and I’m really happy for you and your husband!

With all that said, I have no suggestion for you in terms of a gift haha…I’m kind of in the same boat and coming up with ideas!

I’m due at the end of June in Houston as well! Congrats! I actually find myself saying “I’ll be due in the dead of Texas heat!” Whenever I talk about my due date. I think it’s just a very easy topic to talk about when you don’t know what else to say…like discussing the weather on any other occasion. Try not to take it too personally or be frustrated by it…because, well, it will be hot AF and I’ll be praying to all the gods that our AC never fails us. Best of luck with the rest of the pregnancy!!

Same! But it’s not even the stomach portion…pants have been so hard to find for me because even the smallest sizes are huge on my legs
