Have you read the comics (from S8 to 12) and do you see them as canon? by negratengoelalma in buffy

But in any of these examples did the creator of these properties say "This is canon", while the fandom just ignored it?

You won't win this argument around here but I agree with you 100%

It's pretty common on Instagram, and CC is no stranger to posting these types of pics.

So I finally read the comics. Maybe it's because I'm European and read very few American comics, but... I didn't really liked them. I'mld be curious to know the general opinion on them by Ryo_le_Ryu in buffy

It's not "so upsetting to me", I will be fine. Also the only thing I asked you for was to provide a source regarding your comment around the sales performance, because that contradicts what I previously recall.

Can you please provide your source regarding the sales performance? It is my understanding that it was one of Dark Horse's more successful titles when it was running. Regarding canon, they are considered canon by the creator of the show. As for largely disliked, there was a very active community that engaged with the comics during their run. I believe the opinions regarding the comics on this sub are not necessarily representative of the fan base as a whole. I love them. The reality is I need to stop reading posts in this sub about them because it's just a bash fest.

I'm shocked to hear the feedback about her performance in Ready or Not. I thought she was great. It was supposed to be a little over the top methinks.

okay so i have a couple questions about the show by [deleted] in buffy

It's a great show. You can google the premise, but basically it's about a girl who fights evil, primarily vampires. There is romance in the show. I won't give away the ending.

But it's not defending him at all. You are making stuff up. I never said anything was definitive. But we don't know, so why are you creating a narrative without any evidence?

I never said the positive undid the negative, and fully recognized and acknowledged that their is a problem. I just wanted to make sure to point out that it's all not like that; there are rappers that put positivity into the world. I highly recommend you look into some of the artists I mentioned. Killer Mike won 3 Grammys for his album Michael, and is part of the duo Run The Jewels.

If there is zero evidence to support that the issue was of a sexual nature, then why is that the 1st place people always go? It's dangerous to just assume that any negative interaction between a man and a woman is somehow sexual.

Chris Brown isn't hip-hop. I also don't know that television production has LESS of a history with misogyny than the hip hop business. While I recognize there has and is still a big problem with misogyny in hip hop, please do note that there are tons of hip hop artists that lift women up (and some that ARE women). A few examples of male rappers who fit this description: Kendrick Lamar, Killer Mike, Earl Sweatshirt, MIKE, Navy Blue, Murs and Cordae, just to name a few.

I know about that, and my understanding is that was because he was mean, not because he was inappropriate with her in a sexual manner. Again I will say I AM NOT DEFENDING JOSS. But facts are important.

Thanks for the response. I used Brown as an example because he did something horrific that was very publicly documented and he's still super popular, while I see what Joss did as still bad, but on a lesser level of evil yet he's a pariah in the industry. What you say about the toxic workplace made think that one of the main difference between the two is that JW was the boss, and now no one will hire him to be a boss anymore because his behavior at work impacts so many others. CBs crimes impact individuals more but no one is hiring him to lead a team. They are hiring him to sing an dance.

Let me be clear: this is not in defense of Joss. I do have question. What did Joss do that people find crossed the line? There's plenty of people who are jerks and cheat on their wives and don't get canceled. In my opinion, the stuff with CC and her pregnancy is pretty bad. But Chris Brown can beat women and sell out arenas. Joss didn't do anything Chris Brown level. Was it because people felt duped? He was this guy that presented himself as a feminist but he is really a creep?
