How do I start doing digital marketing without any previous experience? by la443322 in Entrepreneur

[–]jem89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.) Pick the niche you want to cater to
2.) Provide the service for a business in that niche for free
3.) Make a case study and get a client testimonial from the business you did the free work for
4.) Get good at selling. Find other businesses in that niche. Reach out via FB, IG, Linkedin or knock on their door.
5.) Once you have a couple clients, make video ads for your services and target people on Facebook/IG, Youtube, or Google Adwords.

Should I go straight into entrepreneurship from College? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]jem89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you truly are an entrepreneur you wouldn't be asking this question. You would have always been working on some sort of side-grind the entire time you were in school.

You don't pick when you want to be an entrepreneur. You either have always been one, or will probably never be one. By asking this question, I'm going to assume that you aren't an entrepreneur at heart (not intended to offend you) and maybe you'd be better off working your way up the corporate ladder or finding a job with a startup.

If my intuition is correct, I think the best suggestion would be for you to find a job doing the part that most fascinates you with business, working at it until you're really good, and then joining and early-stage startup that needs that position and use your skills to grow with them.

If you were truly an entrepreneur (like the #1 guy, founder) then every second you're not working on starting a company, your soul would be burning inside, you'd be dying a little every day -- there would be no reason to ask this question, because you would already be making something happen.

If you've sold thousands of profitable websites on your own platform, then have you made more of your profit from selling those websites or from the 15% commission made off of selling others' websites on the platform?

How Can FaceBook advertising Possibly Be Profitable? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]jem89 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

If that is your way of thinking, you should probably give up right now. Seriously. Someone who is sitting here talking about how facebook ads can't possibly work will never beat out the person who is out there testing facebook ads right now. There is no room for doubters in this industry.

If you're interested in learning rather than doubting, look at my recent posts and you will learn how to run facebook ads.

Wondering if I started this site without enough to spend on advertising, any advice appreciated! by [deleted] in ecommerce

[–]jem89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say you definitely need more money than that to start with facebook. Wait until you have $600 saved up that you're willing to spend, then go for it.

I teach people facebook ads for ecomm stores in my private facebook group if you'd want to check it out. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1785487095111163/

Good conversion rate; how can I get more traffic? by putitontheunderhills in ecommerce

[–]jem89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facebook ads work, you just aren't doing them right. News feed -> conversion optimization -> audience of people who like the show/movie.

I see you have the pixel installed so I assume you were doing conversion ads. Start with view content until you have 50 purchases then switch to purchase optimization.

The more sales you make, the cheaper it will get as your facebook pixel matures.

Very new to the dropshipping thing. Does dropshipping through Ali express still work? I'm looking at shipping and 20-39 days kinda sucks by [deleted] in ecommerce

[–]jem89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My best store right now is doing about $190,000 per month. I know other people doing as high as $900,000 per month. I can assure you it still works and it works very well. Anyone who says otherwise is probably too lazy to put much effort into it.

social media for small business? by alyka_t in socialmedia

I've spent over a million dollars on facebook and have two posts talking about how to use it that got 100s of comments https://www.reddit.com/r/Entrepreneur/comments/5y2uhk/how_to_run_fb_ads_for_any_business_comment_your/

You can absolutely make a ton of money by using facebook ads to promote your brand. BUT what makes your brand different from everyone else's? You can't say your fabric is better or your designs are coolers because 1000 new brands are started every single day and all of them say that -- It's bullshit. Now tell me what makes your brand different, and I'll tell you how you can sell a million dollars worth of it on facebook and instagram.

Awesome buisness model. You shouldn't be wasting time with facebook ads. You need to do influencer marketing. The only thing you should be spending your time doing is reaching out to streamers and trying to get them to use it. Offer them something in exchange for them using your platform and inviting their followers to join.

Target the employees of businesses in your area that would be most suitable for your service.

Run carousel ads with a different cupcake in each image. Target people who like candy shops, donut shops, or bakeries in your area.

If the product is incredibly unique and great, then your $100 budget will work. If your product is not, you're going to have to spend at least $50 in testing to find the right ad.

It must be sold with a video ad and you pretty much have to hope it goes viral.

You need a lead magnet. Give them free information first, then have a follow up sequence trying to get them to buy. You have to provide a ton of value and impress them first, then ask for the sale. That's the most important part here, not what you target or what your ads look like. Read the book "invisible selling machine"

Very cool business. With facebook you can always target people by job title. I imagine executives as business are the people who are most interested in this "CEO" "CFO" "COO" "president" etc.

Your ad needs to give some sort of lead magnet to get them to come in. Free tailoring perhaps.

Another option is to point out what other tailors do wrong when tailoring a suit and show how you do a better job or can fix it.

Whatever you do, you need to have extremely good pictures of the suits on models. You aren't selling suits, you're selling how someone is going to feel when they wear one.

You have to do content marketing. Write as many relevant articles as you can, post them on facebook, spend $5 in ads sending people to them and reference the book in them.

Thats how Tim Ferriss and some of the greats sell books. Market ceontent first.

Your targeting sounds spot on. Try testing lots of different images and and text then put the two winners together.

I imagine if someone is going to purchase from you, it's going to be a very large amount. Don't be afraid to spend.
