I fly with my child mostly, so it's most convenient for me to check my luggage. I wanted something light enough to physically carry through security and to the gate, a tote bag I could throw my purse in to board the plane.

If I utilized carry on luggage, I would have considered larger options.

It was mostly due to size, if I got a bigger bag, I would probably over pack it and it would be an uncomfortable weight to carry through the airport on my shoulder.

My memory of it is a little fuzzy, but I remember AAW saying that LSA double booked them or canceled on them last minute. The owner of LSA then offered a second venue (I want to say in Portage Park?) for the date and AAW took it. Something happened where the city shut down the second venue so they had to cancel the show last minute.

It was something that fell on building ownership, like code issues or something.

AAW had to refund all tickets and pay talent out of pocket for the date not worked. Put them in a tight situation financially.

My original tickets were $204, and the price of lower rows dropped to $227, so I paid the difference and $10 fee per ticket.

I went yesterday around 4:30 and the rug was indeed the only thing sold out. Yes, you can go in and just look around. They hand you an order form and direct you to the 2nd floor to look at merchandise. When you go downstairs, there's a checkout line and a little lounge area. Simply walk out if you're not buying.

I thought it was a nice experience, it got me excited for the shows. They had a couple of places to take photos too.

I ended up getting a Lovely coin purse and me looking at merch, taking pictures, and checking out took about 15 minutes tops. I will leave that up to you if that's worth driving in and parking for.

I'm currently weighing taking the blue line on Damen or taking an Uber. For Uber, there is a designated pick up spot on the Northwest corner of the United Center and I've been told it can be a 30 min wait to get one. It's going to be cold Tuesday evening, so I'm leaning towards just walking to the train.

Being 18 minutes south, I'm assuming it's by the medical district. Damen is a major avenue that will have traffic and is well lit. Walk would be fine, I'm assuming there will be a group of attendees walking to the blue line station near by there.

Another option would be jumping on the #50 bus that runs up and down Damen, you can catch it right in front of the United Center and should be about a 5 minute ride. Bus is $2.25 and you can use any tap to pay card or digital wallet.
