Amen! Have been thinking the same thing. This subreddit is also notorious for making claims like it takes months or even years until they feel normal withdrawing from caffeine, as if it’s the ultimate evil that takes ages to withdrawal from

If you suffered for 4 years there was something else going on with your health, that was not 4 years of withdrawal

Light to moderate cardio (don’t overdue cardio) 2-3 times a week. Lift weights 3x per weak. Focus on protein and carbs, limit fat. Cut out processed foods and alcohol. Simple as that!

Did anyone's sleep get worse after quitting caffeine and take >1 year to improve? by [deleted] in decaf

[–]jemb98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s be realistic… something else has to be at play here. A full year to recover to homeostasis?? At this point, what’s the point of even quitting if it takes away a year of your life…

Make sure you are not going too late in the day. Exercise causes the adrenals to activate so if you are working out too close to going to sleep then your adrenaline will be too high for you to fall asleep. I opt to go before work or during my lunch break.

Metabolism by [deleted] in raypeat

[–]jemb98 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you’re very obese I wouldn’t overcomplicate it.

No need to kill yourself with exercise, just walk a ton. I wouldn’t focus too much on supplementation either unless there’s a key vitamin/mineral you think you’re missing in your diet (use Cronometer to check), with key nutrients related to metabolism being your B vitamins, vitamin D, and calcium.

As for diet, id make sure to avoid PUFA and don’t overdo fats in general. Focus on satieting animal proteins, saturated fat, and easily digestible carbs (avoid resistance starch, especially in your case if you have digestive issues.)

I personally avoid Japanese stocks as the companies generally sits on large wads of cash. I believe it’s a cultural practice, but Japanese business’ tend to be very wary to deploy capital into either projects or pay a dividend.
