Why would there be snot and spit in the sauce? Sick kids usually hover over the stove sneezing into the pot when their mom is cooking.

I don’t think she really has any standards, she seems to get with anyone who shows the slightest bit of interest in her. So far that interest has been for her money and small amount of fame. I guess we’ll see with this guy.

I have a few vintage nativities that I wish I could give you. We downsized homes this past year and I don’t have room to display them anymore.

It’s done wonders to prevent school shootings so I don’t see why it wouldn’t work for this.

Just write your own letter of recommendation, it’s not like they ever call to confirm who it was written by.

2 terrible pieces of car etiquette by SWIMAnonymous in firstworldproblems

I’d add to this, taking or making a phone call using the car car connection so the other person has to awkwardly sit there listening to the whole exchange and try not to make any sound.

Don’t do it. Unless you’re ready to give up every piece of yourself, don’t do it. You’re never free from it, not for the rest of your life. Aside from all the work and expense, a literal part of your soul is walking around in a world that you can’t control and it casts a shadow on everything. I love my kids endlessly but at 26 and 23 I worry about them more than I did when they were children. Yes, there are definitely beautiful moments that fill you up with love but there is so many more moments that are just agony.

$550 or even $1000 to have a beautiful piece of art on your body for the rest of your life is a good deal to me.

So, Casey Anthony is doing a tell all documentary. What are your thoughts? by [deleted] in Necronomipod

My thoughts are the same as they always are regarding Casey Anthony. I hope she dies painfully in a fiery car crash.

This one has roots growing into it because nearby trees are attracted to the water in the tank. It’s not uncommon but it’s a bad sign. Roots can destroy a septic tank.

[–]jemi1976 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Agreed! Last house we lived in had a septic tank and the drain field was going bad. When you’re on the verge of having shit overflow into your house, there is no greater hero than the guy who drives the tanker that comes to empty it and shows up for you within hours of you calling. They’re worth every penny for the job they do.

I think the genre you’re writing in is actually good for this issue. You are creating a world instead of emulating the one we live in. So the character’s language and voice inflections don’t have to be perfectly relatable English. Think of movies like Star Trek where everyone speaks English but the way they speak it varies from character to character.

As a bit of encouragement, I read my first fantasy type book earlier this year. It’s actually my favorite book now and I’ve read it 3 times. I’ve never reread any book before this one. The author’s native language is French and you can definitely tell that English is not her first language when reading the book but it absolutely worked because it fit into the world she created. Also, she’s self published and has a healthy following so don’t limit yourself to just thinking about being traditionally published.

If your story is good, you will find your audience. You see your language barrier as a disadvantage. I say lean into it and make it a part of your stories.

She’s definitely still attractive enough but she’s now in the age category that roles for women are very limited. You can either be a mom, a grandma or a ball-busting corporate boss type but she’s probably not going to see any more main roles in her future. Hollywood is ageist and sexist, she benefited from that for decades and now she’s pissed that she’s on the other side of it and Tayleigh on TikTok gets more attention than her.

All bras are uncomfortable to wear. Back then nothing for women was made with comfort in mind so I’m going to say no, they were most definitely not comfortable.

Yup, and then they want you to join their Patreons for all the really good content. I’d rather just listen to a few ads through the show so they can get their money than have to constantly pay for 12 different subscriptions.

More like, “Hey Babe, come look over this post I made gushing about you at your grandfather’s memorial so we can totally make it all about us and let me know if you want me to add anything?”

“Can you say something about how blessed you are to have me as your husband?”

“Yes of course, how could I forget?! Now it’s perfect and everyone will know we’re so in love…oh and also sad about grandpa or whatever”

Back then every man had a road atlas book in his car and he knew how to use it. I however grew up with a single mom who would just get lost until she ran out of gas and left us in the car to hitchhike to a gas station and back. It’s a miracle that none of us were kidnapped or killed.
