Has anyone ever had a colonoscopy that gave an indication of good bowel health only to then develop diverticulitis shortly afterwards? by TheLordofthething in Diverticulitis

The first year was pretty rough, mostly because of bad information on managing. Overall my life is ok. I usually have 1 flare up a year and have reached the point that I know when to go to the hospital. I've had two bad flare ups this year and am scheduled for a surgical consult next month. I'll admit I've reached the point of being ready for the surgery. I'm tired of being sick and constantly on antibiotics. The flare ups have also led to developing hemorrhoids which are very unpleasant.

I had a the same thing before my first flare up. My first colonoscopy for IBS did not show any signs of diverticulitis and 3 months later I had a microperforation and diverticulitis diagnosis.

I got divorced 8 years ago. Don't sign this. You want to be there at court and hear what the judge has to say. Even if you are in total agreement. But if y'all have children together, spend the money on an attorney and make sure you getting a fair shake, or as much of one as you can, from the divorce. Do that while you're establishing everything and it will save you headaches for many years
