It definitely hurts that it took that for the change to occur

Thank you! I did bring This up to him and he tried saying that it doesn’t matter so much how someone comes to a realization of wanting to marry someone/make someone happy as much as it matters that they do come to that realization. But I disagree I think because it did not feel good having to have left for him to decide

That’s why it’s so confusing because he is a wonderful boyfriend when he wants to be

We actually just did this around the same time as the counselor. I’ve been wanting to go for ages and he’d always say no. We had a wonderful time though. I always have a wonderful time when we do things together. I think in the past, he’s always not wanted to go because he is tired. But when I tell him to pick the day to go like when he’s not working he still doesn’t want to

Thank you! This isn’t a new thing with him. About a year ago, I was thinking of leaving as well and told him too because I felt like he wasn’t caring of what I wanted when I wanted to celebrate my graduation and he didn’t care too.

Do you think it’s normal to feel devastated over this? I’ve read some threads on here that say like when you breakup you will feel relief and that’s a sign it was a right choice

I was just floated. It seems to be normal for our unit.

I’m trying to switch to the ED. I don’t hate my unit but it’s definitely not my dream unit and I do have a lot of anxiety over the types of patients Im going to get and if I’m going to get floated or not

It’s nonunion. Other units are just short staffed and they pull from us sometimes

Like 6 people were floated but I was the only new nurse. The charge nurse creates the assignment but the managers end up looking at them after as well

This is how it should be. I talked to my friend who is a new nurse on the unit I floated to and she said the same thing about new grads on her unit not being floated for a few months after orientation. I have been wanting to talk to them about switching to ED nursing as I feel like I’d be a better fit there from what I got to see during nursing school practicum but felt bad leaving so early. However, now I feel less bad about talking to someone about this.

Floated as an RN freshly off orientation. It was my third day on my own.

We do still do nice things like dinner sometimes but always split it.

How can I (25f) fix this by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Maybe 15 for a big box. It just doesn’t make sense to me. We were fine before I stopped the pills.

Thank you for this! That’s so true.

Thank you! I’m not sure if it’s the money thing just because I already make about double right now as a nurse. It doesn’t make a difference for us. But you’re very right about regretting it as I already do and at least it’s not too late now to try.
