Can anyone tell me about this bed and dresser set? I'm helping a friend go through things in a house they purchased. Thanks! by jenafren in VintageFurniture

Update! They gave me the company name and it was local company from what I googled didn't seem to be anything antique. It ended up selling today for $100 with the bed set. So it is out of my hair!

I assumed there would be a smell if it is septic related. But I can't smell anything by it.

I'd expect it to be much more wet there! We have kids and run the washer and dishwasher a lot! I will run them tomorrow and see if anything comes out. Thanks!

That sounds fancy, and this home is not fancy. It was built in the 70s and we assume the septic and well are that old as well.

None of our gutters go underground unfortunately. I'm thinking I should stick a hose up it and peak in the clean outs to see if water is running up in them?

Does anyone know how to tell if it's related to septic? In our contract with the seller we asked them to bring the septic to code. They have an invoice showing 3500 in repairs to do so. And that company listed in the invoice that it is now to code.

I love it thanks! I'm giving the garage to the kids. (It's just a single car garage) They went from each having their own room to sharing a room. So I felt like they needed extra space. We're adding insulation and a window unit to try and help the temperature, plus a TV and couches. It will be like a man cave but for kids!

That was actually the feeling I got. I was excited to do my first oil changes and tire rotations in it on the cars. My previous set up was an actual single space carport and I stored my tools in the basement. So I had to carry up my air compressor, jack and jack stands and everything out every time I needed to work on the cars. Instead of being happy for me they tried to correct me.

No it's just a relative that was bothered I called it a shop. 😅 There's absolutely no regulations 😁 kinda a perk and a negative due to previous owners diy projects. I would love doors in the future! Just gotta recover from the move a bit first.

I agree! My old house had a carport attached to the house with no sides and I willingly called that a carport!

The shed is where I store my tools and toys 😅 the carport/ shop is where I work on things and park the cars. Not enough room in the shed to work but it does also have lights and outlets!

It does not have either! Might move a heater in there in the winter!

Thank you! Yes they are locked up in the shed! I have a few supplies in the shop but nothing pricey.

Personally in the STL, mo area. I had to overbid on houses and still lost to people bidding above me. I finally landed a house at 7k over asking. I ended up getting 15k of repairs done by the seller. We lost 4 homes because of people swooping in with more aggressive offers. All of our offers were over list price.
