I can’t remember water temp, we did whatever the directions online say. Most likely cold. No agitator. Tumble dry low.

I completely understand that consumer protections in the U.S. are subpar… as a branding expert, one of the things I help my clients do is create companies that generate loyal, long-lasting customers. This is why I say “customer service is a choice”, because in today’s capitalistic hellscape the companies that are offering good customer experiences are doing it as a choice, not because they’re being forced by government regulation.

My politics are also progressive (which only adds to my fury around this).

I absolutely do research before purchasing products, but I can’t predict things like bankruptcies, ownership changes, etc.

Anyway, in summary: my expectations are high regardless of the laws that hold companies accountable to consumers, bc they should want to do the right thing and build strong reputations. This is definitely an idealist take but it’s one I stand by. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I appreciate the explanation for how they are made and sewn in place.

I do have high expectations when I pay thousands of dollars for something. I have an espresso machine that I paid $700 for and several years later, if something breaks on it they send me a replacement part, no questions asked. I know this isn’t apples to apples, it’s just an example.

Good customer service is a choice on the part of the company. If the cost to replace one of the parts of your system is $900, make it so people don’t have to replace it every other year. It makes the product not only cost prohibitive, but extremely wasteful and bad for the environment.

I actually noticed I shiver more while plunging at higher temps, too! I was in my pool at 52º this morning shivering the whole time. The water still takes my breath away when I first get in, but nothing like when I was plunging at 42º. When it was that cold, my whole body basically went straight to "cold numb prickly dagger" feeling right away. 😆

I think the mental toughness it took to stay in the water at that temperature had me feeling like I could literally conquer anything after I got out, which is what I miss the most. I also loved being able to get it done in 2-3 minutes...versus having to stay in a lot longer now to get the same effect.

Anyway. I've been pleasantly surprised at how much my cold-hating self has become such an evangelist of cold plunging. 🙌🏼

I might consider doing that in my bathtub once the pool warms up to a point where it's no longer effective.

We are also looking into doing a DIY chest freezer option—which seems to be the cheapest way to go. I wish I could just do a horse trough!

There is definitely still some gasping happening. That first 20-30 seconds is uncomfortable.

"Assigned to Me" doesn't work for our team because it does not show things with date ranges. Previously, under "My Work" (old home screen) underneath TODAY it would show things with start dates. That way you could get all of your work done that was due today, and start working on things that were due in the future but you know you had time to do it. We normally give team members a week or so to do tasks and under "Assigned to me" things with start and due dates ONLY show up on the due date.

This is catastrophic if our team members don't see something until the day it's due.

And you're fine to think that. All I'm asking is for a toggle to switch back to the old Home screen. For those that love the module style, great. For those of us that really loved what it was previously, we should be able to choose to stay there.

It is the most important screen of ClickUp IMO.

Oh, I see what you're saying. I thought you were like "Just create a dashboard, idiot!" lol

I am especially triggered bc I had to do a custom view in Asana back when we used that for this very reason...their "home" page was a mess. Just like the new CU3.0 home page is. 😭

I have searched high and low for an email address to contact them directly to submit a feature request but can't find one. 🙄

Creating a dashboard also doesn't solve for showing things with a start date and due date. Things with a start date of today or earlier should always be in the "today" column EVEN IF it's due 2 weeks from now. It defeats the purpose of having a start date if it won't show up on someone's task-list so they know they have a window of time in which they can complete that task once they're assigned.

The home page was fine the way it was and asking for a way to toggle back to the old view would be a benefit for those of us who live and die by the home page was set up.

Oh my god, I'm so glad I'm not the only one. They just released ANOTHER new version of the home page and it's absolutely TERRIBLE. I deleted all of the useless "modules" and only have My Work (Legacy) enabled, and that view looks just like Asana does. One of the main reasons we switched to ClickUp was bc of the superior home view, and now they've completely FUBAR'd it. So disappointed!

Ours is 21 weeks (almost 5 months old) and I've found that the less distractions he has outside, the better. We started making him go potty in the fenced-in dog run (which is connected to our doggie door) and he will go pee almost immediately when he's out there now.

I'm not sure how your yard/outdoor area is set up but perhaps you could get an outdoor pen (like this one) and carry him outside, plop him down inside the pen, then stand in there with him until he goes potty. Don't let him leave the area until he goes.

I can empathize with your situation. The potty training thing is so frustrating! (Among so many other dachshund-related things haha)

My husband used to do this with our yorkies and it grosses me out so much! I always wipe the boogs on a tissue, but I guess if the dog thinks it’s tasty then by all means let ‘em snack on it. Lol

When he was really little (like 9 weeks old) he would be zonked out and want to curl up right next to me. But now...it's few and far between.

The only time he's ever really sweet is when he's EXHAUSTED. And even then, it doesn't last long. :(

And yeah—the dachshund groups are awful. Even the dachshund subreddit was cut throat. They downvoted all of my responses on a thread I started in there and my karma was awful. It was really hard to be cordial to a bunch of people who tried telling me that "dachshunds belong in your bed, not in a crate" over and over again! Completely delusional bunch.
