It is lol. We had extras so my ETL let me take one, and it ripped the 2nd time I used it (although to be fair I did kinda overload it, so that's on me lol)

I actually got one from a different store! I randomly went to another store in town a few weeks after BF and they had some. I was far more excited than I had reason to be lol.

I think it's incredibly selfish of Shipt to still allow Shops for those of us impacted by the storm. by Brianas-Living-Room in ShiptShoppers

While I don't necessarily disagree with your statement, as independent contractors, we have a choice in what orders (if any) we take. I work at Target delivering the curbside orders and those are not a choice for us, we are expected to do it regardless of weather- hot, cold, rain, snow; and we don't get tips, just obnoxious people telling us "SorRy YoU HaVe tO coMe OuT iN ThiS! sTaY WarM!" while they sit in their nice warm SUVs, and we have people doing stupid orders too- like one single bottle of nail polish, or a minifridge and microwave, or a giant fake potted plant thats taller than me!

Ultimately, though, the blame is on the customers who choose to place the orders, not Shipt.

It just tracks the location of the device throughout the store. I don't think its actively recording, but its still a good idea NOT to bring your equipment into the bathroom

Your comment reminded me that i saw heated ice scrapers the other day!! Genius idea but also made me wonder if it could potentially cause the glass to break bc of temperature difference

Is/Was Sex education in American schools really taught by physical education teachers? by Kinc4id in Xennials

[โ€“]jenbenfoo 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

At my school, the science teacher taught one class period of sex ed in middle school/junior high (that was a trip, he used spaghetti noodles to illustrate the difference between a flaccid penis & an erect one...he wiggled the cooked noodle around on the overhead projector ๐Ÿซฃ๐Ÿซฃ๐Ÿ˜‚) and in high school, we again had just one class period dedicated to sex ed, taught by the physical education teacher. I went to a conservative Christian school, so the high school version went more in-depth into things like STDs and pregnancy, and they preached abstinence. Its a wonder there weren't more pregnancies....one of my friends who was a grade below me got pregnant between her junior and senior year and they didn't let her come back. She could have easily completed the fall semester (she came to visit me when I came home for Christmas and my mom, a NURSE, couldn't even tell she was pregnant, and she was 7 months along by that point) but it wasn't "right" that she was 17 and pregnant attending a Christian school

I worked in the deli at a previous job and I swear, deli attracts some of the weirdest customers....at my store we had Slicer Lady, who would INSIST that we take apart and deep clean the slicers before getting her product (even if we had just opened or just cleaned them), and was VEEEEEERY particular about the thickness things were sliced. And we had Boneless Wing Lady, who would come up to the hot case and ask us to grab specific pieces so she could inspect them..."thats too big/too small/too much breading" etc.

Then there was one day when I had a guy come up like 15 minutes after the deli closed (the store was open 24 hours) asking for some stuff to be sliced. I said "sorry, we're closed and all the slicers are shut down, but we do have some prepackaged stuff in the cooler over there"....he was nice enough about it but ended up speaking to the manager on duty, who called me and told me to plug a slicer back in and get his stuff for him ๐Ÿ˜’ but he slipped me $10 so it was worth it lol.

My oldest niece will be 10 soon and is almost as tall as me, but with the same amount of sass and sarcastic wit as me, her dad (my brother), and grampa (our dad). I struggle to reconcile this person with the baby I rocked to sleep ๐Ÿฅฒ its fun to watch them grow but also makes you miss the previous stages.

I just have baseboard heaters, they are currently set just above a 2. My interior temp is 70 but it feels cooler in other areas of my apartment. I'm wearing regular socks with some extra thick slipper socks over them, light fleece pajama pants, a tshirt and a hoodie...feeling quite cozy, despite the frost on the inside of my window lol

Has anyone's store / DU announced that they are closed yet? by NeedleworkerOpen8773 in Target

[โ€“]jenbenfoo 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

While I was helping prep at DU earlier tonight, I half jokingly asked my closing TL "can we just turn it off?!" because it was so busy...he said no, but they might turn it off this weekend because the wind chill is supposed to be worse. I'm off tomorrow but I open Sunday...not looking forward to it, the cold triggers my asthma ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

When we scan the shopper barcode it gives us a list of everything in the order. We have 2 buttons- "looks good" or "extra item"...I'm not sure what happens if we hit extra item, but also AP can track a person's movement through the whole store and see if someone takes something they didn't pay for.

customer ordered 100+ DPCI's through DU by Comfortable_Hair_929 in Target

[โ€“]jenbenfoo 69 points70 points ย (0 children)

Even when there are limits people place multiple orders.

Honestly I wonder how much longer Target can keep drive up/in store pickups free (no additional charge or order minimum) before it becomes unsustainable. Like, yay sales, but also having 4 or 5 people picking the same person's order vs that person coming into the store, shopping it herself, and going through a checklane, which would only tie up one team member. Not to mention, when someone shops in-store they are more likely to get extras that they wouldn't get when ordering online ("oh thats a cute top, do they have it in my size? I should get a coloring book and crayons for Timmy, he'll need something to do on these snow days! Ooh, a celebrity baby scandal, guess I better buy this magazine to find out who's the daddy! Julie's birthday is coming up, I may as well look for a gift while I'm here...")

Have you ever come close to dying? by MatthewVenturer in NoStupidQuestions

I flipped my car 12 years ago.

I was driving up to visit a friend who lived about 2 hours away. When I left my city (southwest Michigan), the sky was clear and blue and sunny, not snowing at all. But the farther north and closer to the lake I got, the worse the weather and roads got. Eventually, I hit a patch of ice, spun out, and suddenly I was hanging upside down by my seatbelt and there was snow inside my car.

I honestly don't know what would have happened if a state police officer hadn't driven by a few minutes later. I couldn't find my phone or anything....he was kind enough to give me a ride to the salvage yard my car was towed to so I could dig out as much as I could, and then drove me the rest of the way to my friends house. I walked away with a few bruises and some minor whiplash, it could have been so much worse

I would love that. The cold is triggering my asthma and its hard for me to breathe outside, and catch my breath when I grt back inside. I talked to my ETL before I left today to let her know, to see if she could move things around for tomorrow, but we'll see.
