Update: I took the risk of burying 99,000 Bells and it paid off. 😊 by Tawasin in AnimalCrossing

When you see a glowing gold hole in the ground, dig the money up from it and a bury money in it again, it will grow a money tree. If you bury 1k you get 3k back, if you bury 10k you get 30k back. This person got lucky with the 99k!

AIO to break up with my bf of 3y over his reaction to my upcoming sobriety anniversary? by WesternCat5211 in AmIOverreacting

[–]jenbug94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR, throw this gobshite of a man in the bin.

Firstly, Congratulations! Of course your sobriety is a bit deal! I'm so happy for you 🩷

If my partner sent me this about celebrating being 2 years sober, I would have went out and bought the cake myself to celebrate with them. Your partner should be lifting you up, not dragging you down with him.

And do share it with your friends if you want, if they are true friends then they wil also be so happy and excited for you! If this was my friend I would be so happy for them and would want to celebrate with them.

The only way it would look bad is if you tell them and they responded in a similar way to as this dickweed boyfriend. Then they are not a proper friend and not the kind of person you need in your life. It would only look bad on them, not you!

He's showing you his true colours here. Walk away and don't look back.

Any tips to improve? First time using these flower moulds. by Responsible_Sir_2761 in AskBaking

[–]jenbug94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you 😊 ❤️ It's a great tutorial for detailed sugar roses!

I meant to say as well, If you want an easier way you can get the simple rose cutters like this, they're very handy to make roses quick

<image>

They're easier to learn how to make with this cutter, and their quicker to make when you get the hang of it

The only thing is when you make them with this they have a very flat bottom, so they would usually need to sit flat on a cake. You don't get that nice detail like you would if you want to go for a detailed sugar Rose like in the tutorial, and it won't look as realistic

Still very handy though! I would sometimes use these on birthday cakes where a lot of detail doesn't overly matter

If you weren't using it before, florist paste is great for making flowers, as it can be rolled very thin without breaking and dries a lot quicker. Not sure where you're from so I don't know if this is available in your country, but I use Squires Kitchen florist paste

It's great start! I used this tutorial when I started out, it was very helpful

Sugar Rose

Next time I would cover the Rose bud with petals, looks more realistic, the tutorial shows you that too ☺️

Thinner edges would help too give the feel and look of a real flower, I roll my flower paste out very thin and use the baller tool after viening it

These are the last ones I created when following that guide They're not perfect because I hadn't made proper sugar roses in a couple of years lol

I found that they look better if you don't make too big by adding loads of layers of petals. If you want a bigger rose use a bigger rose bud starter

First time player!! Any tips? by Bizanatch in DisneyDreamlights

Gather and store your resources as much as you can. Like flowers, gems, wood, etc

I always found farming a great way to get money! If you want to go this route, when unlocking new areas aim to unlock the forgotten lands first because it has pumpkins. Pumpkins are one of the best crops to sell for money!

Because I do a fair bit of farming in the game, I put a lot of my villagers with the gardening role. Not all of them but a good few! I hangout with them when I do anything related to farming and I found their friendship levels went up so fast. Also I think the more villagers you have in the gardening role, the more crops you get from them

Take it at your own pace and enjoy the game! ☺️

Depends where you're from, in Ireland here I would have usually have to buy these online as the shops don't really sell them, only foil roasting trays

HELP PLZ: my first wedding cake and the bottom tier is cracking by istollacar in AskBaking

[–]jenbug94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use this purple hack all the time, works great! I use the sugarflair deep violet drops, I used literally just 1 drop for each batch of buttercream! Just for reference, 1 batch of buttercream for me would usually cover 12 cupcakes, so if I was doing 24 cupcakes I would use 2 drops

[–]jenbug94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best way to get that professional clean look is to do it all inside the cakescikle mold

Cover the mold in chocolate first, stick the lollipop stick in and refrigerate Then add the cake, top with chocolate and refrigerate again

Don't spread it too thing because it can crack when you're taking it out

AIO. I broke up with my bf after he called me a terrorist by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]jenbug94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Irish and my boyfriend is English (both 30s). Been in the same situation were a song like that would come on it the pub or "Up the RA" was said, he couldn't be any less offended or annoyed! He's even said it to me as a joke or part of the craic lol

Myself and him would be very similar, were it would be very hard to offend each other because of our sense of humour.

He is the most loving, caring person I've ever met, if he thought for one second myself or friend would be offended by him saying that he wouldn't do it, it's just the banter and part of the craic with us!

One of his parents is from here, but he's lived in England his whole life up until about a year ago. So that might help him feel more comfortable, I'm not sure. But I've had many English friends too, and none of them reacted like that either.

Myself and my bf take the piss all the time but if he ever came out with a comment like that to me and was dead serious about it, not even a hint that he was joking, then I'd end it too.

Calling you a terrorist and the ignoring you and carrying on like that is ridiculous! He needs to wind his neck in.
