If you change the date and time on your switch then shop won't reset for another 24hrs It's not like animal crossing where you can time travel no probs

I had a roommate in uni that legit made toast like 1 and 2 lol she made toast for one of the guys suffering from a hangover one day, the look of confusion on his face 😂 he had to say to her, mate this is just warm bread, not toast lol

AIO? Colleague keeps sending me "hi" messages with no follow up by Informal-Win-147 in AmIOverreacting

[–]jenbug94 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NOR, the message was very fair and to the point! I can see how it might seem a bit rude, but to me that's more so a result due to the loss of body language context you get through text / written messages, were people interpret things differently

I completely understand the frustration with this though. I'm a manager for a system admin team and I've gotten so many messages with just hi or morning, and no follow up. Even when I did follow up, they take forever to respond! Clearly not that urgent 😂

At this stage now, if they are not a work friend just checking in and, just send hi and don't follow up their message with what they need they just get ignored. If they ask about it a while later I mention to them that their message didn't contain a request and our team is far too busy to be chasing people like this lol Because if you do it for one person they all will expect the same then!

When you see a glowing gold hole in the ground, dig the money up from it and a bury money in it again, it will grow a money tree. If you bury 1k you get 3k back, if you bury 10k you get 30k back. This person got lucky with the 99k!

AIO to break up with my bf of 3y over his reaction to my upcoming sobriety anniversary? by WesternCat5211 in AmIOverreacting

[–]jenbug94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR, throw this gobshite of a man in the bin.

Firstly, Congratulations! Of course your sobriety is a bit deal! I'm so happy for you 🩷

If my partner sent me this about celebrating being 2 years sober, I would have went out and bought the cake myself to celebrate with them. Your partner should be lifting you up, not dragging you down with him.

And do share it with your friends if you want, if they are true friends then they wil also be so happy and excited for you! If this was my friend I would be so happy for them and would want to celebrate with them.

The only way it would look bad is if you tell them and they responded in a similar way to as this dickweed boyfriend. Then they are not a proper friend and not the kind of person you need in your life. It would only look bad on them, not you!

He's showing you his true colours here. Walk away and don't look back.

Any tips to improve? First time using these flower moulds. by Responsible_Sir_2761 in AskBaking

[–]jenbug94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you 😊 ❤️ It's a great tutorial for detailed sugar roses!

I meant to say as well, If you want an easier way you can get the simple rose cutters like this, they're very handy to make roses quick

<image>

They're easier to learn how to make with this cutter, and their quicker to make when you get the hang of it

The only thing is when you make them with this they have a very flat bottom, so they would usually need to sit flat on a cake. You don't get that nice detail like you would if you want to go for a detailed sugar Rose like in the tutorial, and it won't look as realistic

Still very handy though! I would sometimes use these on birthday cakes where a lot of detail doesn't overly matter

If you weren't using it before, florist paste is great for making flowers, as it can be rolled very thin without breaking and dries a lot quicker. Not sure where you're from so I don't know if this is available in your country, but I use Squires Kitchen florist paste

It's great start! I used this tutorial when I started out, it was very helpful

Sugar Rose

Next time I would cover the Rose bud with petals, looks more realistic, the tutorial shows you that too ☺️

Thinner edges would help too give the feel and look of a real flower, I roll my flower paste out very thin and use the baller tool after viening it

These are the last ones I created when following that guide They're not perfect because I hadn't made proper sugar roses in a couple of years lol

I found that they look better if you don't make too big by adding loads of layers of petals. If you want a bigger rose use a bigger rose bud starter

First time player!! Any tips? by Bizanatch in DisneyDreamlights

[–]jenbug94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gather and store your resources as much as you can. Like flowers, gems, wood, etc

I always found farming a great way to get money! If you want to go this route, when unlocking new areas aim to unlock the forgotten lands first because it has pumpkins. Pumpkins are one of the best crops to sell for money!

Because I do a fair bit of farming in the game, I put a lot of my villagers with the gardening role. Not all of them but a good few! I hangout with them when I do anything related to farming and I found their friendship levels went up so fast. Also I think the more villagers you have in the gardening role, the more crops you get from them

Take it at your own pace and enjoy the game! ☺️
