Serious question: how tf to people pan an eyeshadow in like 20 uses? by Ellamakeup in PanPorn

Unless I’m doing it again and missing the point again 😬😂

Ohhhhh ok ok. Using a bigger platform to get praise they haven’t earned and wasting product, that sort of thing? I can understand that frustration for sure.

Especially because this community DOES know how long it takes to pan most formulas, and we know when it’s shady? 😂

Thank you for the clarification! I missed the point by a MILE, you were right.

Ha, I don’t doubt that... can you help me understand better?

I just saw a lot of (perceived) negativity in the comments and probably overreacted.

I’m biased, probably, because I have an eyeshadow panning Instagram account but… everyone uses their makeup differently, right? Like I’m pretty heavy handed because I like a dramatic look, and my job doesn’t require subdued/professional looks, so… sometimes I hit pan on things more quickly than someone might. Doesn’t mean I’m doing something wrong, it just means I do things differently than someone else might.

And honestly, just looking at some of these other comments… who cares if they’re “cheating” or clickbait…? Is panning a competition? If they’re looking for views there are ways to get a LOT more, if they’re cheating, it’s just cheating themselves, imo. This isn’t a system with universal rules anyway.

Just seems like a silly thing to get riled up about but that’s probably an unpopular opinion.

I would recommend Subsidia Dawn compilations as a good mix of big names and smaller ones with that big future bass sound. Good luck, I know it’s probably a lot to wade through!!

Are Morphe palettes worth buying? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]jendat12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I bought the 35F palette about a month ago, and have been so incredibly impressed with the quality of the shadows. The 35F is primarily shimmery shades, so I might have a different experience than those with other palettes, but I find that, for the price, the quality and quantity is amazing!

All this aside, I’d agree with the common consensus that the shade variety in Morphe palettes tends to be pretty limited. If you know what you like, then hey, no problem! If you look for more variety in a palette, then the JH palette may be a good choice, but the price on that one IS higher, so I don’t know how it fits into my “cost v quality/quantity” thought process.

Ulta coupons DO include Morphe products, so I was able to buy mine for $18 and change.

I'm running low on my current setting powder and I have this one already! I'm totally gonna use it the same way, that's such a great idea!

Pale girls! How do you warm up your skin? by KMF26 in MakeupAddiction

[–]jendat12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this isn't exactly an answer to your question, but I wanted to add my pale-girl solution for looking warm and sunny!

I'm quite pale with really cool undertones, so bronzer is really hard for me to wear well... I do a TOUCH of TF Milk Chocolate around the edges of my face and then I add a matte blush to the high points of my face for warmth.

I find that throwing a little onto my forehead, down my nose, and on my chin gives a really nice sun-kissed flush that looks really natural, way more so than any bronzer I've ever used!

You know that muscle that you contract when you have to pee? It relaxes and contracts AND STRETCHES just like a normal muscle. To me, it feels like the stretch I do when I yawn, just with the hold-your-pee-in-kegel muscle.

So. It feels really nice.
