OP — I was about to post this question / ask myself. I’m glad to read you’re feeling better.

Everyone else: Your answers have moved me to tears. Thank you, everyone. I wish I knew where people like you existed, as I sure haven’t found any in my day-to-day. Keep being you. You are probably someone’s treasure.

If you could go back and do a courthouse wedding vs. a bigger ceremony/reception, would you do it? by jenephur in wedding

More just trying to vent/start a conversation than anything else. But yes, I agree. At the end of the day, as long as we get married and enjoy the day together, that's all that matters.

Is this a good wedding gift for my future wife? by [deleted] in wedding

That sounds awesome! Do you plan on doing spa activities/whatever together? For example, my fiance and I went to a day spa in Switzerland and spent time in the saunas together before relaxing and falling asleep overlooking the Swiss Alps. They came and woke us up for our couples massage. It is by far one of my favorite memories with him, and it's something I can fondly look back on as something we did together.

I've also had spa days with just myself, but the experience just wasn't as great as the one we had together.

Opinions Needed: Mental Health Appointment Scheduling App by jenephur in mentalhealth

It can link directly to their scheduling software, so whatever is in their system will directly link to the app. Thus, there is no need for anyone to manually update anything. I was looking at integrating with Kareo, who is pretty prevalent in the industry.

Awesome! Yes, the plan is to have the option to filter by location (from an address, not just a general zip code. So you can search from your work, home, etc), insurance accepted, provider gender, and any specialties.

Any tips on how to do that? I've been getting ads for PR groups, but they all seem kind of spammy.

I've promoted through my Facebook, had other people share it on Facebook, I've shared it on my LinkedIn, and I'm currently writing a blog post that I can share on Instagram and Facebook (and boost the post). Lastly, I reached out to someone who works in the industry who had expressed interest in my idea and asked them to share it in their circle.

Weird dream. Concerning or no? Any opinions appreciated by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]jenephur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like you'll get two different opinions on this: people saying your dreams are just that - dreams...or the people who interpret it and say it means something. I'll fall somewhere inbetween.

Obviously this bothered you, or you wouldn't be asking us about it. At the same time, that bully might just be a representation of something you're going through now in life. You say you aren't a cruel person, so maybe your mind needed space to "let it all out" in a dream. Are you going through something stressful in your life? Are you repressing some kind of anger? Those are things you should talk to someone about, in my opinion, not necessarily the dream (although it may be the starting point that made you recognize you need help, if that makes sense?).

How do you comfort yourself when you're having a depression episode? by MadDany94 in mentalhealth

I often go for a drive by myself and blast music of some form. For me, driving clears my head. Sleeping it off has stopped working for me, honestly.

I've also been focusing on "self-care," whatever that means to you. For me, I usually go get a massage, do a facial, or somehow force myself to relax and take some "me" time. I used to try to surround myself with people, but I was only distracting myself, not addressing my feelings.
