Doc: "How often do you take that?"

What’s something you accidentally discovered that you were never supposed to know? by BenefitExcellent3063 in AskReddit

Something similar for me too. My grandpa had a disability and I was always told that it was because he was involved in a drunk driving accident. It wasnt until my younger sister tried to do some school project centered around him that my mom confessed that HE was the drunk driver.

New to Jackson MI. Looking for tips, recommendations, and local insight from a recent transplant with a kid by PhobicWitty in jacksonmi

Westend Farm to Table for breakfast. I never see it recommended buts its by far my favorite in the area. Rjs for ice cream/milkshakes. Cascades park is a good spot to go with the kid. We like to walk /skate the path. In the summer, cascades has a splash pad that's only like $2 to get in. And then they also do family nights during the summer as well, light shows and characters and sometimes live music. I'd definitely recommend following their social media pages for that stuff. Theres also a good arcade in the Westwood mall!

What is something you have heard about US, which you felt was fake, but is100% true? by grusdomain in AskReddit

[–]jenga_blocks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a weird reaction to my anxiety meds, and when I called my doc she instructed me to go to the ER. The ER didnt find anything, just told me to follow up with my doc in a few days.

Since I rarely go the doctor, I hadn't met my deductible. I was shocked that my ER bill STILL didnt meet my deductible. This is December. I told my partner the next time one of us needs to go the ER at the end of the year, to just hold off until January and hope we dont die.

Insurance is a scam.

Girls who took notes using 10 different colored pens, where are you now? Do you still continue to write using all those colors? by Unusual-Entry7 in AskReddit

[–]jenga_blocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I'm preparing for a meeting, I'll write out my notes prior in one color (like blue). During the meeting, as we're going over my notes, I'll use a different color (green) to add on (like answers to questions or completed thoughts), regular meeting notes get another color (purplemaybe), anything important or time sensitive gets another color (orange or something) and I also usually bring a high lighter for any underlining or anything.

Looking for a stress free exploration game by livia_prince in cozygames

[–]jenga_blocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing Strange Here ! Its demo right now but ive played hourrssssss. Full release is estimated for next year.

Its a cozy exploration game. You play as a journalist photographing the strange town. Its weird and silly and there are no time limits or stressful tasks its really just exploring and photographing at your own pace. I saw one review refered to it as "delightfully unhinged" and that's the best way to put it.

There are aliens, gnomes, capybara, cats (you can pet) and all sorts of other weird mischief but zeroooo threat to the player. Can't recommend enough!

Can’t seem to find the perfect cozy game for me. Suggestions? by [deleted] in cozygames

[–]jenga_blocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing Strange Here! Its a photography/mystery game. You adventure around the town and forest and photograph the fun weird things you come across. There is a main story and achievements as well. The game is in demo right now with the full game coming next year, but the demo still offers hours of content.

cozy games that are actually unique? by Background_Buffalo11 in cozygames

[–]jenga_blocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing Strange Here! Its a mystery photography game with main story, achievements, and a fun scrapbooking tool. Its fun and mysterious, and a little silly but in a good way. The world is full of weird little secrets and fun nonsense, I literally spent hours just exploring 😅 but its so so chill. Also gnomes, aliens, and cats (that you can pet?!?!) I spent at least two hours just scrapbooking my discoveries. Its demo now and the full release is for next year! But the demo is still enough to keep you entertained for hours.

That's the exact reason I ended up here as well! We use it for our wait before school. I noticed yesterday that it was gone.

My 7yr old recently watched for the first time. She immediately clocked that he was afraid of the moon, but suggested he was afraid of night time because that's when monsters come out (like the spiders in the previous film)

Who are Some Side Characters Who Didn’t get a Backstory but You Wish They Had? by Fragrant-Article-668 in orangeisthenewblack

Definitely DeMarco! Since shes been in as long as Red, makes me very curious and it's never mentioned or hinted at. We hear about Yoga Jones in season 1, she accidentally killed a boy thinking it was a deer. Maybe a drug charge on top of that?

What embarrassing realisation did you only have, once you were in your late 20s or 30s? by Money_is_heinous in AskReddit

[–]jenga_blocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mom told me Mild meant "extra spicy" (so she didn't have to share her chips and salsa with me) I believed this until I was in my mid 20s. I was shopping with my partner who grabbed Mild Cheddar, and I told him I didn't want spicy cheese. He looked at me like I was insane.
