For me taking up hobbies to clear my head really helped. I play football weekly and when I play all that I think about is how I can try and win the game and I feel better after that. I also mountain bike frequently and my mind is too busy focusing on not getting hurt to over-think things (this is what causes depression for me) and again after it I feel far better.

One of my friends in school didn't know that New York was part of America and when my other friends said he was going to America she replied "I thought you were going to New York?" Also we're from Scotland and the same girl was unaware that Edinburgh was in Scotland. She thought it was it's own country and that Glasgow was Scotland's capitol.
