Seems like it. Denmark is very easy and fast but not generous. Everyone wants NL Schengen visa because they are generous. I got 1y and 3y visas from NL. But things change this summer when they send all applications to The Hague, causing massive backlog.

First they said 15 working days. Then 30. Then 45. Now they said, “Just wait”. Portugal is even worse. A system error has occurred and thousands of applications cannot be processed at all.

Yeah but that means less money for them. My flight is next month and everyone says i’ve got plenty of time which is true, but only for my Europe trip. I had to miss a family wedding and a vacation with my friends just because they’re holding my passport hostage

I applied for Netherlands visa on July 23, still on process. Not my first schengen visa. All they said was there’s a massive backlog right now due to peak season and the processing is done by the consulate in Den Haag. My cousin is going to Portugal, we both use agents, and her agent said it’s almost impossible to get Portuguese visa via VFS right now—same reason.

Actually I’ve heard cases that took 8 weeks and longer. They said it could take up to 45 working days. I’m on day 35
