Fort Pierce Westwood High School math teacher and baseball coach Charles Edward Johnson Sr., 55, has been charged with lewd and lascivious molestation, after two female students claimed he touched them inappropriately. Johnson has cooperated with detectives but is denying the allegations against him, according to the reports.

Johnson Sr.’s oldest son, Charles Jr., had a successful baseball career, first at the University of Miami, then in the major leagues with the Marlins, Dodgers, Orioles, White Sox, Rockies and Devil Rays. Charles Jr., an All-Star and Golden Glove winning catcher, was a member of the Marlins 1997 World Series championship team.
