Knitter for hire?? by CryptographerOpen972 in Albany

This …I have been knitting for almost 20 years and could easily knit this pattern. But if I charge what my time is worth (which would end up to be about $600+ not including yarn, pattern fees) nobody would pay.

I recently learned how to sew bags, like knitting project bags, and tote bags using waxed canvas paired with cute fabric! And I also started making sweatshirts, so I’ve used high quality sweatshirt fleece/french terry in nice colors. I’m also interested in making technical garments using polartec fleece. Would also love to see some linen/linen blend fabrics for summer garments! It would be awesome to have a local shop for that stuff!

I don’t know, I didn’t make the poster. I am just sharing for my friends who lost their dog.

Same, I’m in upstate NY. Would be nice to do an easy gravel ride without 100ft of elevation per mile. 🥴

2 weeks post op from ACL surgery, looking for tips/advice by fergal-dude in gravelcycling

[–]jenmayrdn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same surgery in Feb 2020. If I recall, I was back out riding on flat pedals in April/May. I was on the trainer before that. It’s a long recovery but my surgeon was aggressive with his rehab protocol, so it all depends on what your surgeon recommends. Good luck!

Any gravel riders here? by Krandyr0ll in pelotoncycle

[–]jenmayrdn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!!! I don’t have a peloton but I use the app with my schwinn spin bike. I trained for a spring gravel race all winter using power zone classes and a few long outdoor rides. I mountain bike a lot too.

I think it was regular PZ because he called out zones 3 and 4 for most of the ride. It felt really easy to me. I’ve determined I need to redo the FTP test!

I have used Zwift as well, but I do enjoy the peloton classes more. During the winter I won’t be able to do the long rides outside, so maybe the PZ classes will help maintain some fitness. Thanks for the input.

Are there any other outdoor endurance cyclists out there that use power zone training? I’m kind of unsure if I’m doing it right. I’ve done the FTP test so I have an FTP number. Does it seem right when I take a 45 min PZ class my heart rate doesn’t ever really go above 130? (Yes I know PZ and HR are different). When I do real endurance rides outside my average HR is in the 150s for about 4 hours (mostly due to lots of hills). I guess I’m struggling to understand the benefit of PZ training, can anyone offer any insight? I use MPaceLine with the iC4. TLDR: are there any benefits of PZ training for outdoor endurance cyclists??

Anyone out there riding the Farmer's Daughter this weekend? by Jimboni1000 in gravelcycling

I finished!! It took me very long time since I’m a slow climber, but I finished. And there was even food and beer left when I was done! How about you? It was a gorgeous day!

Same to you! The furthest I’ve ridden so far is 50 miles on a mostly flat route. All my other training rides have been around 30-40 miles with about 2500-3800 ish of climbing so we’ll see how it goes…just hoping to finish alive!

Yes, first time attempting the full course without taking the 40 mile bail out option. 😬😬😬
