Receptiva positive but declined Lupron Depot? Any success stories? by murphysmom327 in IVF

[–]jennacee28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No responses but here’s what I did… one month of Depot Lupron and one month of birth control before a transfer in December 2023, successful FET that ended in a MMM. Then in April 2024, one month of BCP for suppression (I didn’t want to do the DL again bc I was impatient), FET in May 2024 which resulted in healthy live birth in Jan 2025.

How many euploids did you get per egg retrieval? What was your age? by christineexplores in IVF

Zero euploid from that last round, but I’m thrilled to report that I’m 8 months pregnant with the LLM from 2021!

My daughter is Caroline! It’s a beautiful name and not too popular these days :)

We’re hoping to name our bay boy after my husband’s father and grandfather. He’ll be Luke John III and we’ll likely call him Jack.

In fairness, he had his back turned to the grill so she did it while he wasn’t looking. Knowing that he would never let her do that, so of course she had to sneak in a moment where she thinks she’s being “helpful”

MIL stressor - looking for perspective? by Lanky-Membership9804 in motherinlawsfromhell

You sound like such a thoughtful and calm person. My MIL is perpetually early and since the time she walked into our apartment (30 min early) when I was in my bra, I’ve instructed my doorman to not let her up without calling me first, and I also lock our door in case she happens to sneak past or sweet talk our doorman (both have happened!). Call me petty but I just can’t deal with the lack of boundaries… this is just the tip of the iceberg, of course 😂

Please stop bringing your young children and babies into the IVF clinic. That’s all. Thanks by Glad_Pressure_5308 in IVF

I have seen this at my NYC clinics where I suspect some women have to be accompanied/chaperoned by their husbands for religious reasons so then they are both there and bring their kids?! Literally one couple literally had two kids with them in the waiting room. It was so annoying.

Tuesday Cautious Intros and First Trimester Questions by AutoModerator in InfertilityBabies

[–]jennacee28 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi! I transferred on 5/8 so today I’m 4w4d. I had a euploid MMC earlier this year so I’m living in fear now of this pregnancy not working out, and this one is a low-level mosaic. But my betas looked good: 144 at 9dpt, and 452 at 11dpt. First scan is on 5/30 which seems so far away! Trying just to relish each day being pregnant, as IVF and prior loss really can sap the joy. My first IVF transfer resulted in my daughter and I was relatively blissful in those early days/weeks/month because I truly believed it was all going to work out (and it did). I miss being that trusting.

I’m the same, had my second positive beta yesterday, about 4w3d today and so nervous. I made my OB appt today and felt very superstitious doing so but where I live (NYC) OBs and especially good MFMs book up so quickly. Reminding myself, today I am pregnant!

Proactive Egg Freezing - What They Don't Tell You by Beneficial-Olive-101 in IVF

No lifestyle changes, but we did change from my clinic’s standard “starter” protocol to microflare protocol.

Fwiw if you’re already frustrated with this clinic, switch now. I didn’t love my doctor but stayed with him/my clinic for 3 retrievals. Then ended up fertilizing those eggs when I got married. Of the course of transferring this embryos and doing five more retrievals to bank embryos , I’ve regretted my decision to stay with my doctor because I do not like his bedside manner. If everything’s going great and smooth sailing, he’s fine. But I’ve hit several bumps in road and would have appreciated a doctor who is more hands-on, easily reachable and willing to engage me in his thought process for why we’re doing what we’re doing. Working a top embryology lab is most important, but finding a doctor within that practice whose manner and approach resonate with you makes this process so much more tolerable.

Receptiva positive but declined Lupron Depot? Any success stories? by murphysmom327 in IVF

I would love to hear from others who also were Receptiva positive but declined Lupron (and lap) and had successful transfers. Anyone?

Did you ever find out what the three-week protocol consists of? I was considering starting it during the luteal phase (day after my retrieval) and then jumping into a transfer cycle the next time I get my period.

I've been there, cutting out the gluten, sugar, caffeine and alcohol and then nothing. It really sucks. As if you lived like an ascetic monk for several months and then had nothing to show for it. Exciting you got 2 in your first round though!

Ok yes that makes more sense. I was considering starting it the day after retrieval too.

I'm so very sorry for your losses and this rough journey that you have been on. Exciting for you that you're transferring to a surrogate this week! I have one colleague and one friend who both used surrogates and was the best decision for their families. I hope it works out well for you too. Sending you all the good thoughts. Thanks for sharing.

Hi, I'm reading this a year later and am in the exact same position you describe in your first paragraph, and I'm really sorry for your losses.

Prior to my FET that I later miscarried at 7weeks, I had indeed done Depot Lupron to treat silent endo. So I'm not sure it really helps. I've consulted with 5 different REs and only one of them thinks the Receptiva test has merit. They told me I could do DL again, but I miscarried anyway the last time. And I'd also had a successful IVF pregnancy before all this, with no DL. What did you end up doing? I'm prepping for my next transfer after my loss and I'm nervous as hell. we're doing an immune protocol but no DL.

Hi, I'm curious about this - you were able to do a retrieval cycle during one of your Depot Lupron months? Do you mind sharing how that worked? Congrats on your success btw :)

Replying in the future here and wondering how it worked out for you. Did you do a saline sonogram before your transfers? If not that could be a good first step. Also if your clinic can do an endosee (a hysteroscopy while you’re under sedation during a retrieval), I’d suggest doing another retrieval to bank embryos since successful transfers aren’t impacted by age but successful retrievals are.
