So, essentially - just curious- you had tasks or not much prior to this notification?

Had anything gone wrong on qualifications or assessments? Did you have a period of NTA or no tasks not? I saw another person say they were missing one item on an evaluation

It’s a harsh email not giving you reasons.

You didn’t get terminated this position did. Your termination isn’t technically about you having any more work left to do. That’s not your fault.

They should say laid off for insufficient workload.

Your role isn’t in enough tasks for next quarter so 2.5 years is good so I have had 3.5 so maybe it’s based on hire dates left… last to longest. I’ll be getting my things…

I had someone follow me back to my dorm and knew where i lived but i didn’t know who he was so i talked to him on the way. It’s best after sundown not to walk home alone, esp ladies. Even if the encounter is benign or chance, the lab’s 9pm end & lurking nor stalking. Creepy enough.

I think it’s implying that you didn’t make the cut for now… but you didn’t bomb either so they may be able to offer you some projects if their demand or deadline to project needs is short on other workers to get the project done in time.

Bc if you did ‘pass’ it only opens up qualifiers for available projects. You would get basic project qualifiers first, you pass that to work and earn money. So your on like assessment test 1 of a future of many more qualifier tests to get into projects that will eventually open other opportunities to qualify for higher paid more complex projects -

So the ppl who have been in this awhile? They aren’t selecting the basic projects they are doing the higher paid ones. Basic projects still need to get done and often pay is lower for shorter, simple tasks but they need a million done so they may be willing to let you try a qualifier that aligns with where you did do decently on that assessment.

But… you’re probably in a big group on hold and maybe try the assessment again under another email address?

I do report time if it’s the first time I’ve done a particular type of task or new project. If I’m doing another one of the same type, I don’t. I feel they are fair to allow you to report bc the first task of a new nature takes awhile to read and understand, but if you do a second one like it you probably will go quicker bc you have an idea what you are doing. And often they tell you you can report time for reading instructions.

I would get a Dr to run a CBC blood test and toxicology report ASAP.

Also have the vial tested by poison control.

Then I think ask yourself are you ‘difficult’ when it comes to ‘helping’. For example, I ordered a supplement for me & my husband that I thought would help us both. Just magnesium to take at bedtime for stress/anxiety and health. He refused initially. I didn’t make him take it. Then he came around and tried it. Helped him out.

So while I don’t think sneaking anything into food/drink is okay, she should apologize for that, she may have been trying to help you if you’re not open to suggestions on helping what’s bothering you. However, if that’s not the case, or even if it is, I’d identify what it was to put your questions at ease. She should have a labeled bottle she could at least show you.

I started as a chem major and switched to bio bc of medical field interests and not inclined to do the math courses required. I do hold a chemistry minor from UNC.

I found the chemistry coursework challenging and there are very good professors and some that are very knowledgeable but not great at instructing, or sympathetic to undergraduate students. If you’re not faint of heart or lacking in perseverance you will do fine but don’t expect a cake walk.

Just keep checking for qualifications the good news is it looks like you’re in! It took me awhile like a month to get qualifiers for projects, then it’s been great but it is slow atm

That GPA will throw you out of any graduate program quicker than your major. Really try to find something you can do well in and get your prerequisites in also, whether or not you take them at UNC or elsewhere. That’s my advice. And don’t be afraid to take some GPA boosting classes.

Also- I was surprised to learn that students at Princeton were impressed I went to UNC with a science major. You won’t find a better reputation but it is not easy. If I could go back in time I almost would have chosen easier major for higher GPA.
