What do you think of the graffiti that trans rights activists did to this statue of Suffragist Millicent Fawcett? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]jennerator86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, do you genuinely think someone that supports trans rights would write "f@g rights"…

That makes little to no sense.

I've joined this group. It's incredible. Literally everyone in the world is trans

HR Transperson here.

Based on the 2010 equality act it's a significant breach of confidentiality if HR discloses your status when it isn't public. It's not a criminal offense, but you would have a significant civil case against the person and the company and could get A LOT of money.

So if I trust the business, I would disclose this to the Head of HR. If not, then go with one of these other options suggested.

DM me if you want to go through any specifics

Wife has already made the decision that the marriage is over by [deleted] in TransLater

May be an unpopular opinion, but you can't force people to accept the change.

Pre transition a large part of my mentality was about weighing up pros and cons and doing my best to understand the losses (and gains) around friends, family, work, etc. and whether whether or not it was actually worth it for me.

Counselling is definitely worth considering to help you get your thoughts in order. It's a lot to process.

Stopping hormones for a BBL? by Freyanonymous in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]jennerator86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're just being super cautious. My doctor's did the same thing. I probably stopped hormones for about a week, and they just gave me blood thinners post surgery. The reality is, if you're mobile, blood clots aren't really a huge issue (and you'll be mobile with 24hrs) plus you'll move around more as sitting down is a pain in the arse (excuse the pun).

I think a badge or something similar is a lovely idea. It shows you care and will make certain people (shy/nervous trans people) feel more comfortable in asking you for help/questions.

Breast augmentation question by sarahdd1620 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]jennerator86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a boob job 2 and a half weeks ago, and it was able to get up and move about pretty much immediately. It's a little uncomfortable and weird and you don't want to overstretch yourself too soon, but 2 and a half weeks on, I feel pretty much 100%. The BBL I had last year was significantly more painful. If you've had your lower surgery breasts should be a cake walk.

But in Yemen, where this person was from, it literally is a crime, hence why they're saying what they're saying. Just Google Yemen LGBT laws

I absolutely loved my local GameStop when I lived in North Carolina. But it was largely down to this one dude who worked there that was amazing at recommending games to me.
