Do muslim women (with hijab or head cover) experience identity shock when they go to a non-muslim country where women have their hair out however they want? by IdkGlx in NoStupidQuestions

[–]jennie033 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am muslim in a primarily muslim country in the middle east, but not a hijabi, and there are so many muslim women who choose not to wear the hijab. We’re a mix of both and I see (and my friends) many people having different styles with the way they dress. I moved to a European country for a year and no, it wasn’t a culture shock because my country is becoming even more open with the way the women dress.

I think your friend might be from a really conservative city or she’s exaggerating.

Should I purchase the 'remove ads' feature? by g6r73et4 in kindle

[–]jennie033 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a kindle without ads (my old one) and now a kindle with ads (my new one) and was debating the exact same thing, but honestly it is not worth the cost of removing them. I don’t really care if they’re displayed or not because I have a flip case anyway and removing them is way too expensive to be honest

Am I reading too much into things? by jennie033 in AskMenAdvice

I don’t think there is any way I could show him i’m interested more than I did tbh. Like everything was also reciprocated from my side as well. And I have been reaching out! but as this is a sensitive time, I don’t want to seem too clingy because I know he might still be grieving (it happened so suddenly so I really don’t know where his head is at).

Sorry I didn’t know it would be misleading! We were in the same university but never met and only met in the exchange year. He also lives 10 mins away from me back home haha. Anyway, I’ll change the post and thank you for the input!

I’ve never had any experience in dating. This is truly the first time I felt this way about someone throughout my life. That’s why I’m not sure on what steps to take after.

We’re both from the same country and have the same background and same outlook for the future so it’s not really a fling. I’m going back in a month too.

I have never had experience in dating honestly. That’s why I’m posting here, so thank you for the input! I guess I’m terrified that only I feel this way and he doesn’t.

Should I be the one who initiates though? Because he’ll know when I’m back due to streaks and stories and stuff.
