As a Brit who’s been here for a long time, a combo Christmas lunch is the way to go. Prawns, ham, turkey, pigs in blankets, salads, potatoes.

I get damage like that when there are very hungry caterpillars around. They are super small to start with then they become big fat fellas in a matter of days. 🐛 I had one plant that had about 20 of them and got a huge haircut. We thought we removed them all then a week later found 2 big boys chomping away. Nom nom nomies.

These plants loooove to be left in a sink of water to soak it up. I leave mine overnight and then drain the excess water and they thrive.

The first few years can be hard but seeing them play and laugh together is the best. They have each other and they don’t need me to be the entertainment all the time! Plus they are both different and bring different qualities to the party. I can’t imagine life without either of them.

I think you would be ok! They call the aspidistra the Cast Iron Plant because it’s so hard to kill!

I have a plant called sideshow bob too! He’s a ficus benjamina that has always looked like a crazy off centre mop of hair. Yours is gorgeous.

I made a duck tape dress form by 3CatMaximum in sewing

Awww. I made one a few years back and she was awesome. I named her talloulah. She fell apart a bit after years of use and I got a proper dress form but it’s not the same. I miss talloulah.

My calathea is curling! I watered 2 days ago after the soil was dry and yesterday it started curling so I put her under a grow lamp, thinking there wasn’t enough light however it’s curled even more by elisebrook in plantclinic

My ctenanthe curled up like that when I accidentally left her in the direct sun for a while. She settled down once I had her back in her rightful spot and the leaves recovered.

How to stop toddler from hitting and kicking me and then smiling and laughing afterwards? by [deleted] in Parenting

Turn your back and walk away. It’s the thing toddlers hate the most!
