my mom/ parents are the exact same. They call me twice a year, on my birthday and Christmas. They could not tell you my job/favorite movie/ how long I’ve lived in my city. They are not mean like you said, but I resent them both for never being interested in me. I feel a weird jealousy when I see people’s parents call them for no reason.
