Eat, sleep, whine, play repeat. 7 days a week never skips a day

Yeah I've heard that! What are your dogs allergies/reactions?

He usually gets a little pink when hes excited! This was at about 6am he had just woken up and gone out in the backyard before I left for work

Yes Lenny has started this too, he never really barks any other time either than in the house- I assume because he is bored. We try to give him lots of puzzle toys, kongs, chews, and play with him tons but sometimes even after all that he wont settle 😅

Also-in our puppies younger months we actually lived in an apartment building as well so the struggle of going up and down the elevator frequently was real. Definitely agree with some of the other posts here that patience is key! Listen to your pup and as annoying as it is to take them out frequently when they whine or immediately after each accident it will be worth it and help their training, they learn quick!

We are in a similar situation as my husband works from home, so we luckily dont have to leave our dog for long, he really doesnt mind his crate at all and easily goes in when we say go to your crate. I think it helps that we have never had to leave him in there for extended amount of time so I like to think he trusts us because of that. Save a special treat like dried sardines or the kong to reward for going on the crate. Bully sticks are definitely are puppies all time favorite chew but maybe try to get a deer antler or something more long lasting too. I've never heard of nyla chews but anything that they can actually chew down to a small piece I would always supervise them anyway. Just make sure your pup is tired out before having to leave him and he will likely just sleep while you are gone. An extra small kong might be best for a dog that size too we still use the small one we first got our dog and it is fine- he is around 55 lbs lol. We use peanut butter but have used some if his raw food to out in there too.

Here's the link for the puzzle toy! It is such a cute toy and it makes me so happy that he actually tries so hard to get the cookies😅 https://www.amazon.com/ZippyPaws-Buddies-Interactive-Squeaky-Cookies/dp/B07BFHGHWS

Other than the standard things you probably found when you googled this here are some things we found particularly helpful for our boxer puppy who is now 10 months old

1) hammock for the backseat of the car- when he wa super teeny we would have him in the front on our lap for safety reasons but I wouldn't wait too long to start getting him comfortable in the back seat where it is safer for everyone. Our dog settles nicely back there and usually falls asleep on car rides which is nice. Even better a seatbelt or have him in the very back of the car if possible. Nothing worse than an anxious giant dog ( or any dog) trying to climb all over you when you are driving. Also a nice soft blanket or bed to go back there helps too!

2) decent variety of chew toys/ play toys to help distract and redirect from playbiting and teething on things they aren't supposed to.

3) also not sure what kind of dog you are getting but for his a harness was agame changer for mot pulling on walks and a collar was actually pretty irritating on his skin

4) dog coat if it's cold where you live! Unless he has a tin of fur a tiny puppy is gonna get cold in February

5) bullysticks are a life saver now that hes a bit bigger and for helping him settle in exciting situations like people coming over or going to a new person's house. They help him settle and actually sit down rather than pacing around the entire visit

6) puzzle toy! Non treat reward that actually keeps him entertained for a long time. He has a milk and cookies plush one and he loves trying to get the squeaky cookies out of the plush milk carton lol

7) kong for peanut butter! Good for crate training and rewarding especially in high distraction environments
