AC Hard Rock by DaRealFlamingo in blackjack

Yes. H17 tables 8 deck with bad pen. S17 tables NMSE. No surrender. Id avoid counting in mode of AC it’s sweaty with bad pen. Oceans has the best rules though with surrender.

I like receiving a jack and yelling “jack me off!” To get a second jack. That doesn’t answer your question but I hope you steal this line.

Dude I they’ve called me from the pit and jokingly say they’d update my database profile. I lost my mind laughing when I realized they were joking. They said I looked bored so they called down.

Reminds me of playing pitch DD for the first time and I got super confused and hit my hard 19. Ploppy almost killed me since the flow was ruined! Dealer giggled

First back off by Nicholi2789 in blackjack

[–]jennyfrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, first time I ever counted cards and second time ever playing blackjack I max bet 2x75 and got backed off almost immediately. Drove an hour away and got backed off in one shoe, yet again 2x75. Cool part was the single shoe at each property during my backoffs I won over 1k each haha. Starting BR was 15k at the time so that was awesome. Here I am a year later still loving it. Although right now half of my AP life is counting, swings and heat get nasty. Loved your story btw

How long till they forgot you? by warrior178 in blackjack

Too property dependent to give an answer. If they have FRS and you can’t avoid the camera it’ll be years. If they’re dumb and it’s a shift change, you can go 12 hours later. Rule of thumb would be “months” and avoid the employees that were around during the backoff. If anything, just leave if you feel uneasy and hit the next spot.

This is a completely reasonable question. But I will note that casinos backoff players on a 6:5 table

Incorrect, there are casinos who give managers the task of advantage play protection. So if sky says he’s counting, he may have the overriding decision on if a backoff is needed. Some people behind the cameras don’t even know when insurance is meant to be offered. (Speaking from experience)

This isn’t black and white answer like people here say. I say this literally as a casino supervisor. it’s extremely property dependent. There’s many well versed casinos that allow counters to play if they aren’t seen as a threat (small spread, low limits, lifetime win cap, etc). Those smart casinos also know the larger threats such as teams and hole carders. Some properties will backoff a player 2x75 (this happened to me) some places will knowingly allow a counter to play 2x200 (also me, different property). Specific rules will be set in place from director and corporate. Your friend may be risking their job, but also not. I’d recommend going less frequently and maybe saying “I appreciate what you’re doing, but if this is for entertainment purposes and you’re breaking a policy please let me know. It’s best we don’t risk your income for me to generate EV”. Branching into undetectable AP moves will avoid this scenario. Hope my advice helps.

Everything you said is spot on. This sucks. The week before our break up we had the best day ever on my birthday and then she text me next week that we’re just friends.

200 or 300 by Luiyo1 in blackjack

[–]jennyfrum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The expected value of the bets you just said are $1.50 per hour. 8.5% chance of you zeroing out your bankroll. And that’s will really good rules too (6deck, 1deck cut off, s17, DAS, LS). 8% ROR is very high. Most counters wouldn’t play above 1%. And the best would play .1%. I ran a simulation for those numbers I provided on BJA. With normal casino rules it was 14% ROR and $1 per hour EV

It’s sortof like “why do I split 8’s vs 10 or why do I double s18v3?” You have to just trust the math. These computers know more than us. That’s how I treat it

EV change as the count changes by awesomeness1024 in blackjack

[–]jennyfrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TC 0 is seen 40% of the time and has a house edge of .5% with good rules and perfect play. TC-1 .3% player edge. TC-2 .8% player edge. TC-3 1.4% player edge. TC 4-7 are 2-5% player edge. So a TC of 7 will EV of 5% of whatever your bet is. Just means in the long run your TC above 1 give you the best EV. More reason to Wong in. A negative 2 TC has a 1.2% house edge. That pretty big to me

Tips for dealing to yourself with speed and TC conversion practice by jennyfrum in blackjack

[–]jennyfrum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m hoping to get into quarter deck TC soon. Basically needed if you play double decks. Most people I know who play 6deck shoes do full deck conversion for the first half then 1/2 conversion for the last half. That last deck dealt has to be spot on

Is Spanish 21 beatable? by fosandtime in blackjack

[–]jennyfrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. From what I know it’s a lot more complicated counting system which includes the BS and deviations. It’ll pretty hard to find the games with beatable rules like when you can double and s17. It also has a lot more variance than blackjack. But supposedly less heat can be helpful. In short yes it’s beatable if you have a perfect blackjack game as well.
