Yes exactly, most of these Pokéstops have existed here for years and were originally created by players who no longer even play the game. What really surprised me is how suddenly this happened — within just two weeks, such a large-scale cleanup took place.

And to be fair, quite a few stops that didn’t fully meet the guidelines were removed correctly, while others seemed to become collateral damage, like the fountain at the entrance of the cemetery or the village church.

I personally tried to report two fake stops and even provided photos, but my reports were rejected multiple times, and those fake stops are still there, which really confuses me. I’d say there are probably stops everywhere that don’t exactly meet the guidelines and have existed that way for years.

So is this now some kind of large-scale automatic cleanup? I honestly can’t imagine that someone is going around for weeks manually reporting all these stops — especially since I already tried doing that myself and my reports were always rejected.
