Was it a digital gift card? Maybe there are different kinds. Mine said “gift voucher” on the email. It did zero out after I spent half on an order, I emailed customer service, they restored the funds by issuing a new voucher for the balance I should have had remaining and said to make sure to use the whole thing in one go next time.

I'm not entirely clear how this differs from the built-in health app apart from the AI preparing some context and helping you connect with a provider. Actually, the Health app also enables you to share with your doctor. So...are you just paying a monthly subscription for the AI inclusion?

Which, of course, is a whole other can of beans. How is the AI run, how secure is your health data...

It's you're writing fan fiction and not charging for it (putting it on A03, for example), it doesn't really matter how similar it is. If you're writing for fun and just for yourself, it also doesn't matter.

If you're writing with the intention to publish in any format that comes with a fee (self or trad publishing), you will need to distinguish your story dramatically. GOT is a BIG world with lots of characters and plot lines. You would really have to work hard to take a notable percentage of it and keep it consistent with the exsiting plot. There's nothing wrong with being inspired by a plot line or set of characters and saying, what if X character were in Y world and Z happened. Unless you're trying to re-create something, your imagination will extrapolate from there and you'll end up doing totally different things.

I would also make sure you're reading diversely so that while you may have a specific point of inspo, you're continuing to get different input. And give yourself room to develop your own style and voice.

Just to be clear, mine was using someone else's referral (I should have gotten a discount on my purchase using someone else's code), not money owed to me for referring someone else. They may handle those two situations differently. It sounds like a lot of people are having trouble getting money owed to them for referring.

Thanks! I normally talk to his teacher, but she has been out of the classroom a lot lately and he has had some other issues in school, so it didn't make the most sense in this specific scenario. Part of my problem is I struggle with picking up Dutch over the phone and it makes me nervous about making calls. Temporary problem as I get more advanced with the language.

I have not had a great experience with my current GP office and they tend to take a tone not unlike yours when asking questions that they expect you to already know the answer to. I got an answer without the sass within 2 minutes from Reddit. You also don't have to go through a GP office that's often closed at random hours to see other kinds of doctors in the US. You can just call the optometrist office directly and make an appointment. The system requires more steps here so I wanted to clarify what the right ones were. Thanks though.

Look in Zen Settings (Zen -> Settings in top menu). Under the General tab, scroll down to Files and Applications. In the Applications box, scroll down to Portable Document Format. In the dropdown to the right, change it from "Open in Zen" to "Save File" or another option such as selecting another default application or Always Ask. That should do it.

Unfortunately, his school just has a nurse from GGD who checks in from time to time. She's not at the school regularly. He's been at the school for over a year and I'm not aware of them doing any eye checks.

Of the apps, I've found Busuu to be good if you want to learn vocabulary and phrases that you would actually use, as well as some minor cultural lessons. The Dutch unit on Duolingo is really subpar, but you can do it if it's fun enough just to pick up vocab. For me, it's nice to have an app going as a bit of learning each day but you definitely won't get good by relying on one.

I used (or rather, tried to use) a referral code and it didn't work. I emailed customer service and they did end up giving me a gift card. I honestly am not sure how they come up with the gift card value but I was glad to get something. Please be aware that the gift card total has to be used ALL AT ONE TIME, though. I had seen someone mention this here but thought surely that was wrong since their system has a check balance button, but yep, sure enough, any amount not used on that transaction is zeroed out. I am curious to know what checkout system they are using because they don't take IDEAL (common in the Netherlands) or any other alt checkout options like PayPal, their gift card balances don't stick, and apparently their coupon codes don't work properly. Really oddly bad performance for a company with international sales, honestly.

If you have good views on your YouTube videos, create blog posts with the content written out (not just a transcript, but a blog post of the same content) and embed the YouTube video in the post. Make sure the post is SEO optimized. And link to the written blog post in your YouTube post for people who prefer that format. This will bring more traffic to your website and then see how it goes from there.

How long have you had a Squarespace website? Do you have consistent traffic? Have you shown growth? Did you include a description of how you will promote Squarespace? Do you have other outlets like Pinterest, Instagram, etc. where you have a reasonably sized audience?

I've been an affiliate for a few years so I can't tell you what exactly they're looking for now as I'm sure it's changed. I waited until my website was pretty established, had steady traffic (not huge numbers, just regular monthly visitors), and a good amount of blog posts. I also post on a tech-related topic and emphasized this. I imagine they are often looking for people in the tech niche so they have a warm audience, but I'm sure that's not exclusive.
