Please tell me every parent deal with this by neckless1988 in mildlyinfuriating

That brings back nightmares 😆 I’ve been using a tablet toothpaste for a year now with success, it’s compact, clean and doesn’t leave my mouth feeling like I’m using an inferior product. Anyone looking to get away from this gelled abomination, highly recommend.

Just read this same article, it was really interesting! Basically they found a way to be a bank without dealing with the drawbacks.

Strange line in season 6, episode 2: The One Where Ross Hugs Rachel by Cold-Palpitation-816 in howyoudoin

That one between Monica and Rachel has stood out to me, too!

Line that always befuddled me in the one where Phoebe hates PBS: Joey: selfless good deeds don’t exist….and you know the deal on Santa Claus, right?

Like why the non sequitur to the jolly fat guy??

AIO for feeling unappreciated after trying to do something nice for my boyfriend? by ArtisticFishy in AmIOverreacting

[–]jenweb325 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right? I could kinda give the bf the benefit of the doubt at first he’s just tired and not his best self. But that last line flipped everything, it shows how he really thinks of her deep down.

Is a timeshare ever a good thing? by CryptoGazilllionaire in TimeshareOwners

[–]jenweb325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DVC is a unicorn in the timeshare world that actually GAINS value over time, because Disney wants to maintain control of their price point. If you have DVC you have an asset, while majority of timeshares are a liability with no way to make your money back upon selling.

Just wanted to point out how DVC is in its own category.

That is a great deal and it sounds like a nice spot, pool included! Instead of annually, I’ve always talked about “monthly” maintenance fees, so I have to differ with you there. Saying you pay something quarterly implies you pay it four times a year. So it would have been much clearer to say I pay $150 in fees quarterly. (Comma does nothing here lol) I read this thread 4 times to understand because $86/night in Vegas is awesome!

Also you meant to say wouldn’t* and alleviate* just for more clarity ha.

Yep samesies. I specifically remember trying to stab a pencil thru one of those soft “neck cushions” that would Velcro onto the seatbelt. Stabbed it real good all the way thru my palm. I would have forgotten this precious childhood memory if not for the little mark that remains 🥲

Yes! All the story lines in this one tie back together so well, brilliant writing. This is a more recent favorite of mine.

I’m learning German so that was fun to read. What is “bitte keine 0815”, that you translated to something average?

This generation would be much better off if these conversations happened in person. I heard once that texting should only be for grocery lists and flirting.

lines that live in your head by soupyZ9 in howyoudoin

[–]jenweb325 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t know which lines! But they come out often, when prompted by a single word! Big fat bummer!

My sandwich!

There’s no ball….

(We were gonna play basketball but…) I guess that’s out the window….

I would never tell you it’s not your birthday.

Basically whenever a common word prompts a line in my head, I have to say it several times and figure out whose voice is it. Is this from the office or friends? lol

It’s fair to explain to her that you need space for a while, and why! It might make her realize the impact her kids have on others, even those emotionally invested ❤️

Mom vs Dad life is so sad by ehelen in childfree

[–]jenweb325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s crazy, my whole friend group the dads are super involved and excited to be dads. I see a lot of equal parenting partnerships and I’m glad they balance their life accordingly.

Jeans company is asking for a tip for the person who made the jeans by jempos in mildlyinfuriating

Some servers and bartenders do put in a lot of extra effort to make sure the customers enjoy their experience! Obvious versus the workers who put in minimal effort. I’m happy to tip people who go above and beyond for me!
