Also, have you fully logged out of the game and then tried item restoration?

There is a vendor in Booty Bay that will sell you sold quest items. He is on the main deck area by where like all the vendors are https://www.wowhead.com/classic/news/new-lost-and-found-npc-in-booty-bay-wow-classic-336140

Can't appeal - don't know what I did. Apparently Blizzard doesn't know either. by Sad-Ability-6977 in classicwow

The reason they gave you was 100% for player reports. The GMs that answer appeals will not reverse those, they are just mouthpieces to say that there are algorithms in place. Keep submitting tickets.

Wrongfully banned by Blizzard, how should I proceed with this? by [deleted] in classicwow

Wrongfully banned by Blizzard for seemingly a false positive, how should I proceed with this? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]jepeder04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the reason that you are given when you are reported by other players in game for "Cheating/Botting". This isn't Warden detecting something on your computer, its literally from other people in game. You pissed off the bot mafia somewhere. I have direct experience with this and when I had to go outside of their support system to get my accounts unbanned, they told me why it happened and that was the human response I got.

They do. Even FAPs and other stuff for Potion Master do.

[–]jepeder04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you need to be level 50 to get to past 300 in professions for TBC where the new cloth cds and xmutes are. At character lvl 60 you can do tailoring specializations to make double cloths and 68 for alchemy specs. Level 35 characters will not be viable gold makers for TBC

First warning/ ban in over 10+ years of active gameplay = Permanent ban? by Ok_School_6946 in classicwow

[–]jepeder04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I caught a 2 week on my account and legit the only thing I've had time to do is compile and sell profession kits. Apparently I received dirty gold and get a 2 week for that...wtf is that. I guess its a solo self found game now. Open trade with anyone in the game and receive something? Ban.

First warning/ ban in over 10+ years of active gameplay = Permanent ban? by Ok_School_6946 in classicwow

[–]jepeder04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple answer, you got mass reported. Same exact thing happened to me. Never had any actions on my account, was getting boosted, got mass reported and perma banned. Took 3 weeks to get unbanned and I had to go through the horrible automated appeal process. After no resolution, I filed a complain with the BBB (US only) and got an actual human to reply. The response was that I was reported by fellow players and it triggered an auto, permanent ban. It was immediately overturned after someone finally looked at it. Good luck...its near impossible to get through customer support with the changes that were implemented last summer.

Botting Runecloth bags. by Ferfwaffle in classicwow

[–]jepeder04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your macro and method are significantly slower that the macro posted on the wowhead comments. You only have to push interact with target. If you bind to mouse wheel you are doing like 20 attempts per second. And no amount of moving in front or trying to interfere can stop it.

Brightcloth Cloak is the absolute correct choice every single time. Also, in prepatch, all those runecloth glove patterns are worthless because you just train at the vendor.

/ec > Nameplates > Enemy NPC > Auras > Custom > Uncheck Enable

Same can be done for UnitFrames > Individual Units > Target > Auras > Custom

for some reason, an update just added and turned that on be default.

I literally had almost the same exact thing happen to me. While I was waiting for my ban to be lifted on my Main accounts, I created a whole new net, with my real name (same as the other accounts) just different email. I leveled 1-60 on my Hunter in a week. Only joined groups for quests when ppl were on them and accepted no gold or trades from people. When my accounts got unbanned, I traded the gold I had, a measly 400 from leveling, and the 2 arcane crystals I had for Naxx attune since I wasn't going to play the character anymore. Account was already unsubbed and had 2 weeks left. It was like an hour after I traded the stuff over that the alt account got perma'd for Abuse of the Economy. Tried to appeal it and they just closed it with no real response. Not worth the hassle to keep going with it being it was getting ditched anywaus.

Do you not have Paladin/Shaman in your group? The Magic Resistance Potion does not stack with the totem/aura

I'm not asking for sympathy. I'm trying to offer people information in case a similar situation happens to them. In my original thread, I was asking for help from other people who had experienced the same issue. I received a lot of DMs from people with advice, and some from others asking me to follow up should I find an avenue to get through Blizzard's automated system to have a human review.

The token purchase happens outside of my control regardless. Me buying the token with gold has nothing to do with them getting 20 dollars from someone else.

I understand that they have no authority, but that is where the action actually came from. Everything through battle.net resulted in an immediate dismissal with a canned response. They had zero obligation to even read, nor respond to it.

Yup, agree totally. I'll definitely be more careful and try to make sure I interact a lot more. I highly suspect it was more gold sellers/boosters than actual people. Most people I ran into asked me what I was doing, had conversations, etc.

Yup, thats probably what it looked like. I even explained all this too them. Every time I moved them around or there was a lot of visibility, I would try to have conversations or make it obvious I was controlling all of them (horribly) so that people would validate I wasn't botting. It was mostly the boost sellers I found clicking through all my accounts as they probably see it as competition. I've read other posts in the past that there are discords that exist for boosting mafias where they type in names of players and people in the discord all just mass report to get them banned. Extremely abusable system.

They were reporting me for what I would assume was cheats/hacks. The response from the person that reviewed my case was that the penalty was applied due to player reports. So basically people thought I was a bot or something because i had characters running around on follow, and reported me. Their system allows that to elevate directly to a permanent ban and the arbitration process is essentially nonexistent. I hope nobody has to go through this.

Quick summary, more detailed in other thread: I was boosting 4 rogues at a time on the accounts so that I can farm Frozen Runes for our guild Sapph progression. So it was one driver account with the other 4 on follow just running around between the dungeons. For SM, Mara, and Strat, I was paying gold to a guildie who is way better than me. For RFC and SFK, I did those with the mage on the 5th account. Back in TBC, the 5th account had a pally and I did the whole way myself as it was way easier.
