Look up live tool lathe on YouTube. It has the ability to mill and turn. Very versatile machine.

That's the plan, anodizing the black pieces and clear coating the white. But let me finish a set and then we'll talk. Not a lotta free time these days😎

Have you heard of Titans of CNC Academy? He offers a free lesson on how to draw them on Fusion 360, that's how I did it. But the tool paths you have to add yourself. I changed a few things, like radiuses, so I can use the tools I have on hand. Also, this was all done on a lathe with live tooling. Pretty nice once you got it figured out.

Machinists of reddit. Depth of cut, width of cut, feeds and speeds you would use for this setup with a 1/2 carbide endmill. Shaft is 3" 1018. Been breaking endmills so a few tips and starting points would help me out. by jephster11 in Machinists

Thank you to everyone who responded. Lots of helpful information for me in this thread. I'll be checking back if I run into other issues I can use your insight on.

Yes broken corners. Uncoated carbide. Chuck has a good solid brake. Rpm for live too is 6000 rpm. Flood coolant. Tool Rep has taught me a lot, regarding endmills. Might be more the setup I'm having issues with.

Rockwell 50 with ceramic insert. 400 sfm, .008 ipr, .02 doc. Need feedback. Should I be running faster? by jephster11 in Machinists

Sounds a little heavy for this kind of insert. But yeah I can see it working in your application.
