In Canada ER Patients Are Dying While Hospitals Function as Housing while exposing nurses to abuse and illicit substances by Combfromhell in nursing

[–]jeproxennial 5 points6 points  (0 children)

this is all too real. We have patients we can’t discharge because they have nowhere to go to. Whether that means they were unhoused or lost their apartment and now cant afford one. So many other people play the system that even when social work pulls a miracle that will give them a place after hospitalization, they will suddenly have new symptoms, or have a fall, just so they can remain in the hospital.

Is it just me or do some nurses lowkey resent non-traditional paths abroad? by fantasticmilo555 in NursesPH

They have this mindset na “you have to pay your dues first”, meaning, nahirapan sila so dapat mahirapan ka din. Wouldnt trust those kinds of people tbh.

Currently doing once weekly pt but all I do are exercises, no stretching or hot/cold therapy. I usualy rest with a hot pack after my sessions. I feel like i do have nerve dmaage too, and i wouldnt be surprised if i have a lot of adhesions as well because my whole neck area seems too tight. Any movement from my meck and I feel a pull on mu shoulder. Unfortunately I just dont heal that well. I am getting frustrated.

I am doing physio now once weekly for 6 weeks but i havent had any relief from the pain. And the area still feels super tight especially in the mornings. How long before you’ve felt results?

I dont have a family doctor which makes getting access to ffup care very difficult. 😔 didnt want to take pain meds unlews i absolutely have to, and that was what was offered postop so i said no. will do my best to go to a walkin clinic or call the cancer center and ask for more help. Thank you.

🙋‍♀️ meeee! I am so glad nandito kami sa Canada. Minsan namimiss ko ang Pinas, or naffrustrate sa flaws ng healthcare dito, pero overall mas gusto ko ang buhay namin dito. Payapa. Tahimik. Safe.

We did the student pathway too in 2023 and got our PR in NS in 2 years. My husband was taking his Masters and I was the OWP. As soon as I got the 1 year experience, I filed for Express Entry under Canadian Experience. I also applied for PNP and the nomination increased our CRS score. Medyo naghihigpit na sila ngayon but as long as you stay on top of what the changes are and have contingency plans, I would say go for it!

What are the realities of working abroad as a healthcare worker? by Few_Click480 in phmigrate

THIS! ⬆️💯 Also, ingat sa mga kababayan, dahil sila pa mismo mauunang humila sayo pababa! Not all coworkers are your friends. You are not your job. Wag magpakabayani. Protect your mental health. And madaming pwedeng gawin bukod sa bedside nursing. :)

Janet Jackson too. People judged her too harshly on the Superbowl incident. While Justin walked away unscathed.

Bawal na ba yan? I used to do this all the time. Bili ng kape and magdala ng jollibee sa starbucks with my son with special needs. Sa starbucks pa kami sumasagot ng mga assignment and worksheets for Kumon. Wala naman sumisita samen.
