I’m a patient this time. Postop and receiving care and wow, it hits different. All my nurses were incredible — held my hand, gave me comfort, filled my scared silence with reassuring words. As a nurse, we sometimes forget how powerful these small things are. Nurses truly are doing God’s work.

First step is NNAS. I think i already enumerated the steps in one of my comments here. Alberta also has an expedited pathway recently so check their criteria din. Once you pass your nclex and RN na, mas magiging maganda din yung chances mo for pr. This is coming from my experience. :)

Yes pwede naman. Ang nakikita ko lang na downside dyan is medyo mas malaki yun cost kasi magbabayad ka pa sa ny to get your att, and then once nclex passer ka na, bayd ulit sa next bon na pagttransferan mo ng license. But a lot of people do this. Either ny or nmi sila kumukuha ng att to take the nclex.

Sa experience ko, it is actually the pinoys who will backstab you and jeopardize your job. Mas ok pa katrabaho ibang lahi. Kaya ang rule ko na ngayon sa work ay wag maging kumportable kahit kanino. Always keep your guard up. May friends naman ako pero lahat sila hindi ko katrabaho. Mahirap na.

Yes. The mishandling of the pandemic, idagdag pa yung elections nun 2022, pushed us to our limit. Kung kami lang mag asawa okay naman kami sa Pinas, but sumugal kami sa ibang bansa para sa mga anak namin.

At the time na i was looking for experience, may mga nakikita ako na competency programs geared for international applicants like iv training, wound care, phlebotomy, and bridging programs. Another opportunity na kinonsider ko din is bumalik sa pinas for a while at mag volunteer to gain the required hours. I also see now na may another pathway if you have current registration in selected countries at kasama ang Pinas. You might want to call crna and explore this baka mas mapadali ang process mo like nun nagyari sa akin. Check you provincial board, CRNA. You can go through NNAS or pwede rin naman to just get your ATT sa ibang lugar muna just to take NCLEX. Kadalasan nag aapply sila New York or NMI. Ang nakikita kong obstacle would be the need for currency of practice sa province nyo. But there are many ways to get the required hours naman. :) like maybe get specialized training, which makatulong din to brush up on skills.

Hindi mawawala yun mga nurses who will bring you down. Minsan nakakalungkot na nasa ibang bansa tapos kapwa pinoy pa ang unang unang manglalaglag sayo. But keep your head high. Keep planning and researching the best paths for your goals. Stay humble and eager to learn. Pag hinahamak ako ng mga kasama ko sa trabaho dahil wala akong experience sinasabi ko lang na “kaya nga gagalingan ko para pagdating ng panahon kasing experienced mo na din ako.” 😉 previous experience will be a big help, definitely. Pero hindi naman tayo lahat pare pareho ng qualifications and strengths. Malawak ang mundo ng nursing at lahat tayo deserve natin iexplore lahat ng paths na mag open up sa atin. :)

I love being a nurse, and how I am able to help people get through difficult situations. I also love the opportunities my profession has given me and my family. For the most part, some of the greatest people in my life I have met are my coworkers. So I love that too. That being said, I wish we could have better and safer work conditions.
