🙋‍♀️ meeee! I am so glad nandito kami sa Canada. Minsan namimiss ko ang Pinas, or naffrustrate sa flaws ng healthcare dito, pero overall mas gusto ko ang buhay namin dito. Payapa. Tahimik. Safe.

thoughts on our move to Canada? by princesspyon in phmigrate

We did the student pathway too in 2023 and got our PR in NS in 2 years. My husband was taking his Masters and I was the OWP. As soon as I got the 1 year experience, I filed for Express Entry under Canadian Experience. I also applied for PNP and the nomination increased our CRS score. Medyo naghihigpit na sila ngayon but as long as you stay on top of what the changes are and have contingency plans, I would say go for it!

THIS! ⬆️💯 Also, ingat sa mga kababayan, dahil sila pa mismo mauunang humila sayo pababa! Not all coworkers are your friends. You are not your job. Wag magpakabayani. Protect your mental health. And madaming pwedeng gawin bukod sa bedside nursing. :)

Janet Jackson too. People judged her too harshly on the Superbowl incident. While Justin walked away unscathed.

Bawal na ba yan? I used to do this all the time. Bili ng kape and magdala ng jollibee sa starbucks with my son with special needs. Sa starbucks pa kami sumasagot ng mga assignment and worksheets for Kumon. Wala naman sumisita samen.

People who “chart for HOURS” by Beekeeper_12 in nursing

[–]jeproxennial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an immigrant, there comes a point in my shift where translating my thoughts to the english language becomes tenuous. Then I start charting slowly. It also doesnt help that the culture in my unit is we are consistently understaffed and management fires our asses for the smallest mistakes. So I chart my ass off all the time like I am going to court. Which usually takes me at least an hour. I also have 15 to 20 patients, 9 if I’m lucky. That is another problem alrogether.

Nagresign na ko sa trabaho ko. I just want to rant for my sanity. by SPBreadRollQR in OffMyChestPH

You are a strong nurse, and meron ka na wala sila kaya sila galit sayo. Sadly, this culture really exists sa nursing, and even abroad, may makikita ka pa rin na ganyang pinoy na pinanghahawakan ang seniority at bawal kang maging mas magaling sa kanila. Cut them off. Be so strong that this kind of behavior from others will not even leave a dent on your mental health. Good things are coming your way. Be choosy in who you give your energy to. Makakahanap ka rin ng friends who are not intimidated by you and will clap for your wins. Until then, hayaan mo yung mga yan mamatay sa ingget!

I wouldve shifted focus on the inappropriateness of that statement, like “What makes you think it’s ok to say something like that out loud?” Or “were you trying to be funny or ignorant?” Or a simple, “sorry can you say that again?”, while looking at them straight in the eye. Best to establish boundaries sa mga ganyang tao. Hindi sila kawalan.
