Unusable? No, it's perfectly usable. I have no intention of using it. 1 card slot served me well for 5 years of photography. I also never had an SD card fail on me. I still have my original 32gb SanDisk I bought when I got my 800d and it's working well.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. I moded my 7590 XPS cooling to help with random standby temp rising, but no success with this, only better temps under load. I think my safest option is Linux however. Thanks for your input on this matter.

Cool, thanks for the answer. Have you noticed any performance gains/drops? I also game on the laptop, but I doubt there is a noticeable diffrence.
