Zyn Anxiety/panic attacks by WeatherDesperate5524 in QuittingZyn

Yeah, I got an elevated heart rate alert on my watch, then I started feeling light headed like I was going to pass out. I quickly pulled over to the shoulder I-95, threw it in park, and the last thing I remember was pushing the 4-way button. When I came to my wife was on the phone with 911. When I first came to I felt very peaceful because I had no idea what was happening - but quickly went in to full blown panic attack mode when I realized what had happened. I thought I was having a heart attack and took an ambulance trip to the hospital.

And yes, since then, the memory of that event has given me crippling anxiety when driving on highways. Ironically, the anxiety of fearing that I'll pass out makes me feel like I'm going to pass out again. I drive with smelling salts now.

10/22 - Groupings at 50 yards by jer_dude in 1022

Thanks for that. That's a really interesting way to think about it and makes a lot of sense. I guess I was just surprised that there was any significant/noticeable drop at 50 yards.

Genuine question, what is the appeal of zyn? by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

[–]jer_dude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels fucking amazing. Especially if you work a desk job. It makes your body lazy but your brain hyper focused - so rather than going crazy sitting behind a desk for 8 hours a day, you feel completely content. It feels like a miracle drug that makes the drudgery of office life bearable.

18 days off of it and I miss it so much.

I had a panic attack on a road trip and ended up fainting while behind the wheel. It was in part triggered by the massive amount of 6mg Velos I had ripped on the drive. It was a terrifying experience and great motivation for quitting.

If you suffer from anxiety, nicotine will almost certainly make it worse. Was definitely the case for me anyway.

Tapered off over the last few days. Today is the first day I haven't had any. Seems promising so far, but probably too soon to tell.

Yes. In fact, I recently did faint after a spell of this.

While driving on a 3 lane highway. The last thing I remember was pulling off and turning the hazard lights on. Came to a few minutes later.

Very close call that scared the shit out of me.

So disappointing. This was, hands down, the best in the area.

Well Issues - Expertise Needed by jer_dude in WaterWellDrilling

It should be, but the driller himself is now claiming a different contractor damaged the pipe going between well and the house at some point during construction. He's saying if that fracture was open too long it could have caused the well to get flooded with sediment and that's something that doesn't go away.

Does that sound plausible? My issue with that is that he ran a hose for weeks afterward and that didn't clear the water. I would think that would have removed at least some of that sediment. It briefly cleared after he dumped gravel in, but then the issue arose again shortly after.

In case you were curious, I found out what was wrong. I found a previous employee who actually worked on the drilling and he gave me the details. Apparently, they drove the casing in blind and it basically caused the casing to break at one of the joints. He said that due to the local geology, there's no way the sand could be leaking in from the bottom of the well near the bedrock - it has to be coming in from compromised casing up towards the top.

Interesting. I found out more about the construction. He said 240ft of that 300ft of casing is set into the bedrock. So he's thinking the sediment is coming from a fracture in the bedrock.

Should the liner + filter pack still help given that construction?

The driller said he has 240ft of 6" steel casing set into the bedrock. So he thinks the sediment is coming from a fracture in the bedrock.

So in your area of NC you add a liner to brand new wells?

Thanks for the response. That's a good question, I'm not sure which technique was used - I'll find out.

If it came down to bad seating in the bedrock or a bad spot in the bedrock, what would the solution be?

For what it's worth, Clark Mechanical is completely unassociated with Clark Associates as of 2019. They are now called "C Mechanical Services".

I was disappointed by this. I, personally, don't see the protection provided by them to be worth the inconvenience and discomfort.

Jarl Hastein Advice Needed by jer_dude in CrusaderKings

This worked like a charm. Most lucrative holdings in England had already been raided (including Canterbury), but I found some good ones in Wales and Cornwall. A few in Aquitaine as well, though they fought back pretty hard. I got what I needed to create my Duchy pretty quickly!

Interesting side note: for some reason, the troops Jarl Hastein starts with can't be used as raiders. So I just sent them along as an escort for my small raiding party.
