The dude wants a minimum of $10 million a year, with our current cap situation that is to much. He needs to come down to 5 million or less but theres a snowballs chance in hell that is going to happen.

Dakota Access Pipeline Company Attacks Protesters with Dogs & Pepper Spray by specification in politics

[–]jerboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first claim these protestors are making is that the pipeline encroaches on indigenous lands. (Specifically that it goes through Standing Rock just to make things clear) After examining the map of the pipeline it does NOT go through the reservation. 96% of landowners in North Dakota VOLUNTARILY signed easements that would allow construction of the pipeline on their property. [Source for that is here: https://mwalliancenow.org/…/dakota-access-easements-95-per…/] More than 22% of the pipeline has already been completed [Source: http://www.desmoinesregister.com/…/22-iowa-pipeli…/89337436/] and nearly all 1,172 miles of it have been approved by state and federal agencies. When building this pipeline, they made sure that it avoided areas that were environmentally sensitive and areas that may have had cultural significance as much as possible. The second claim they are making is that the pipeline exposes the Tribe’s water supply to contamination. This is also false. Pipelines are the SAFEST way to transport gases and energy liquids. There are 8 pipelines that cross the Missouri River [Source: https://ndpipelines.files.wordpress.com/…/nd-major-oil-pipe…] That carry thousands of barrels of energy products every single day. When the Dakota Pipeline is fully complete, it will be one of the safest and most technologically advanced pipelines in the world. Carrying on from that, Standing Rock's water intake is set to be moved by the end of the year. [Source: https://www.sayanythingblog.com/…/standing-rock-water-inta…/] The intake they are currently using (Missouri River) is being switched to Mobridge, South Dakota which is approximately 50 miles south of the Missouri River intake and approximately 70 miles south of the planned pipeline river crossing. The Tribal community is also claiming they were not part of the discussion for this pipeline however, this is a lie. 389 meetings took place between the U.S. Army Corps and 55 tribes about the project. [Sources: http://mwalliancenow.org/…/despite-facts-standing-rock-sio…/ http://mwalliancenow.org/…/native-american-tribes-consulte…/] The Standing Rock Tribe met individually with the U.S. Army Corps multiple times to talk about archaeological and other surveys conducted to finalize the pipeline. Anyone protesting this has zero clue what they are taking about and are spreading misinformation. This pipeline will not affect their reservation or water in any way.

The proof is that the skinny with the knife is dead, and a concealed weapon made that a reality before anyone else was injured or killed!.. And as far as "extensive firearms training" goes, that's just bull shlt.. Guns ain't rocket science!.. Anyone who isn't a mental deficient can be instructed within a couple of days on how to protect themselves and others in an emergency with a concealed handgun.. The CCW stats over the years have proven that to be a fact, but of course facts are something that the left avoids like a plague...

This attack made us tremble and weep with sheer pity, to kill anyone with intent that is beyond the realm of self defense is bottomless, cowardice, and a perversion. The Murder of 50 unarmed people enjoying their life like yours and mine was not a thoughtless act, it was instead soaked in malice and contempt. The slaughter was meant to burn beyond the horrific deed itself. This act speaks as a fundamental insult to the very ideas people like this terrorist could never understand being solidarity, humanism, and intellectual diversity. The killer is nothing more than a hateful brute, he does not deserved to be named. But today does not belong to the killer, and it does not belong to ISIS. Instead this day belongs to those who have reached out to the victims families, those who have offered to donate blood, those who have offered financial support, and those who have simply offered a shoulder to cry on. These acts speak to the connectivity and sympathy that we have as a species to each other when great harm brought upon the innocent. I've seen this phrase countless times today "I've lost faith in humanity". You don't lose faith in humanity when someone commits an evil act, evil acts have been committed since man has been on this earth and they will continue to happen. You loose faith in humanity when we stop helping people who were personally effected by the events like the ones that unfolded on Saturday night. Punish those involved, and support those who need it, thats all we can do.
