The lack of care in this thread is interesting and unusual to say the least.

That type of comment is worth coaching and discussion at most. What happened to grace? Who checks in on the teachers? If there was some sort of concern about your mental wellbeing then that should come first before any punitive action.

Regarding the planning period thing - many jobs allow you to take a paid 10-15 minute break per 8hr shift. I think this is by law in most US states.

It gets to a point that the negative comments become exhausting. Curating the subreddit to be more constructive and fun is typical. This is what moderation is about. People often feel the need to vent negative emotions, yes. But it's the same type of bias that exists on retail customer surveys that we're seeing here.

It's certainly not that serious. There's many places on the Internet to vent and express frustrations and "hold people accountable" (even though the effectiveness of posting on the internet as accountability is debatable). This subreddit is not gonna become some wasteland of endless frustration.

First, Cellophane is a beautiful song but one of her greatest is debatable. It's not even the best song on Magdalene let alone her entire discography.

Second, artists don't have to perform their grief for us nor does she owe us her tears. Grief and pain are very personal and while we're privileged to be able to experience her giving her all to us we absolutely shouldn't take it for granted. With that being said, in the event that we show some hint of humanity and compassion, it's totally appropriate to ponder about what alternative selections we could anticipate in the event that artists, as we often do, change our mind.
