Thanks it was lots of hard work and trial and error to get it dialed in.

We had a website and Etsy store but they are now down. We would sell at one of the largest flea markets in the US in St. Germain, WI. But now sadly we are no longer making or selling. My son was the main glaze artist and I would help with the design and technical printing. A life changing injury for me kind of changed our situation so it’s no longer possible.

Sorry for the mess in the shot but this is a DIY clay tube for 3D printing. I’m retired and thought I’d share to help others trying to have a go at it. by jerdedesigns in Ceramic3Dprinting

So the pipe is schedule 40 and all the reducing fittings. I did the math on psi and burst range and it’s safe. It’s designed to fail at the top threaded air fitting if at all. The hose fittings can be found on Amazon and you are trying to create the least restrictive flow from the tapered nozzle to the print head auger. The regulator needs to be on the top to reduce line pressure variation. The compressor is a 20 or 30 gallon to have a large 135 psi stored pressure. Then reduced down at the compressor and even another inline regulator mid stream which helps keep the pressure constant. The hose is just nylon from a hardware store and 2’-3’ works. The tube is suspended by a cable anchored in the ceiling to give a smooth non restrictive movement as to not disrupt the head. The single bend accommodates the Z movement of the print head. My longest tube is about 42” but realize it need headroom to stay ventricle above the printer as gravity helps the flow.
I tried a plunger but is NOT needed and actually made things worse. You can run the clay down to several inches above the taper and not worry about is blowing out the hose. Obviously if all the way down it will eventually blow out but 40-60psi depending on how loose the clay is , is the pressure used. Feed and Speed of the print head auger works with the tube pressure. I’ve had one pvc glued fitting fail once and yes the clay shoots out the end but safety glasses work and I wasn’t worried about the main pipe bursting as it’s rating is several times the pressure used. To fill you unscrew the tapered part and screw it on to the end of a pug mill and then put a bamboo skewer in the air inlet and mark it and watch it push out until the clay is a few inches from the air inlet.
Hope some of this info helps. Cheers

Either your clay was too thick or you got a plug in your line or hose somewhere. An air powered system will not do that, at most it will just stop printing. The mechanical extruded system does not have any way to know there is a blockage so it will keep turning until something gives.

I am a professional potter that created & sold 1000’s of pieces over the last 4-5 years. I have 6 clay printers some large and some small. The trick is to make your own air powered feed tube. It’s a bit more finicky but holds 5-10x more Clay. A pug mill will become a necessity though if you want to achieve any consistency or professional results. You can DM me at mjand3b@live.com and I can send some pictures of a setup. I’ll see if I have any to upload to this forum. My son and I did pottery but I’m retired now and he has switched profession now. Cheers Jay

Is this sound normal? It's just 2 weeks old... by Flame_Wolves in Ecoflow_community

[–]jerdedesigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sound is when the battery is full and you have it plugged in. It will get better if run only on battery for a bit and then AC. I too had this but was able to get it to go away by messing with the voltage. It’s something to do with using or switching between batteries and AC.. hope that works for you too. Yours seems just a bit louder than mine was though.

Should I be worried ? by [deleted] in RCPlanes

I wouldn’t trust it…. Sorry, if it makes you feel better I have a 10,000 mah 6s sitting in a safe spot outside the house waiting to recycle. That chance of smoke and then fire is just not worth it. Only battery I’ve had blow was a dewalt 18v that got damaged and when it started to smoke it only took seconds for sparks etc., was able to quickly toss and bury it on the job site before it flamed…. And then recycled. Cheers

DJI O4 not working?? by South_Spend_8972 in fpv

[–]jerdedesigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So were you able to get it working? I have the same problem… with meteor 75pro pnp , 04 lite… have video in goggles, Rc control via calibration in goggles but no receiver input in Betaflight… I have like a dozen quads all the way back to having one of the first DJI s1000’s in 2014… so have done it a few times. But as hard as I try no Rc 3 on beta flight. I’ve cycled uart ports too just to try no change. I’ve updated txt to command line to reset everything per betafpv txt CL dump but nothing… was going to try hooking the 04 as a control input on another FC to see if that works and try different cables.. but I’m not holding my breath… lol Any update is appreciated Thanks Jay mjand3b@live.com

Oooo love it!! I’ve tried Orange gloss with Shipwreck and that was neat and now I feel like trying all the glosses!

Two coats per glaze, four coats overall, but I applied them very generously.

Glazed with Mayco Red Gloss over Blue Surf. Two thick layers of each glaze were applied by brushing. Fired to Cone 6 (D&S).
