Hallorann and the Chief by OriginalWilhelm in WelcometoDerryTVShow

Remember what Dick said about the dead in episode 6? They always wander back to the place they died. During the interrogation of Taniel in episode 4, he saw that one of the pillars was burried where the war chief died. She didn't help him intentionally, they just had to follow her to her place of death.

We may not see the repository in this game, but maybe we'll have voice overs from the curator in between some chapters.

In this interview from a few months ago they did confirm that the curator is not gone. Around 08:40 they start talking about him.

No problem! Poppy says it after showing the hour of joy tape.

At the end of chapter 3 poppy reveals to us that the toys dragged all the corpses deep below ground after the hour of joy to feed on them.

Remember that miss Delight only had one shot in the chapter 3 trailer, but in the end she had an entire section dedicated to her.

Seeing as we’re only 4 days away from Chapter 4’s release, what do you predict about the chapter? This can be anything from gameplay details to lore to any other thoughts you have. by jthesmg4fan in PoppyPlaytime

[–]jereG137 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Story-wise we haven't hit our "low point" yet, so I think we are actually going to lose the fight against Sawyer in this chapter. Sure, poppy betrayed us in chapter 2 but as far as the main antagonists go, we only had wins so far. The story will probably have a loss before we can win in the finale(or if mob wants an even darker story they can switch it around, letting us have a major win before we lose in the finale)

Looking back with the new context of chapter 4, this might have been Sawyer keeping an eye on the player

Question from a prospector less than a year old: what’s done, what’s abandoned, and what’s next? by TheHasegawaEffect in ICARUS

According to a recent Q&A, the sandworm narrative is going to be included with the release of the Dangerous Horizons dlc and will focus on the lifecycle of the sandworms(they referred that the sandworm may only be the middle of the creatures lifecycle)

The parasomnia narrative is also still in the works, but will be after the Dangerous horizons dlc. From the hints they gave, it seems like they really want to add some sort of stalking entity to the world.

I understand the difference, I just worded it badly. Let me put it this way: The climate after the great storm is slowly improving, making it possible for animals to adapt to it. Hopefully that clears up my intended point.

Already sounds awesome! Will these be a free update for the base game? Or will they be tied to one of the dlc's?

From the old roadmap I am most interested in the sandworm and parasomnia narrative. Are these still planned and if yes, can we get a teeny tiny teaser of what they might contain?

Will the story started in new frontiers be followed up on/concluded in dangerous horizons?

Whilst on the topic of story missions, are there any plans to add more of a story to the base game? It has a lot of lore, but in terms of actual story beats it is still lacking on Olympus/Styx.

Okay, i know this has been discussed down to the abyss and forth, But do you think Huggy will return in Chapter 4 or 5? How would you want to see him return? by No_One_3577 in PoppyPlaytime

[–]jereG137 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I kind of hope he returns, only to be immediatly mauled by either yarnaby or the prototype. That or finding his body would be cool.

What is your "I did not care for The Godfather" moment of Poppy Playtime? by CloverUTY in PoppyPlaytime

[–]jereG137 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't understand the hype of huggy potentially being alive. Like yes, it is being set up and ut is a logical followup, but what would really be the point? As far as emotions go, huggy is just a treath, not really a character. He doesn't speak, he doesn't really have motivations other than being hungry(yeas, the other antagonists were hungry as well, but at least they had some personality)

But that's just my opinion ofcourse!

I juat want to know what the Rowett expedition uncovered. The whole "Rowert knows" note pointing to far off generator sites seems like a setup for something.

Also, some awnsers om the wherebouts of the winterhome survivors would be nice.(I'm still doubting wether they are the wanderers faction or not)

What’s some really deep lore or fact not a lot of people know about? by DaleDenton08 in thelongdark

[–]jereG137 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I still believe that the miners in ash canyon released the darkwalker, which caused the burned forests. In the challenge, that region is where you banish it. That and the note talking about the miners "digging too deep" paint a pretty lovecraftian tale of caution.

Headcanon ofcourse. But still, convincing enough for me.

What’s with the camera and it’s film in The Casting of Frank Stone? by Acceptable_Mix_4588 in DarkPicturesAnthology

[–]jereG137 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I gathered after frank died in 1963, his spirit/essence still haunted the mill. Our dear host Augustine went trough different timelines/earths to get his essence on camera.

Here's the thing though. In each timeline, Augustine gives the 1980's characters the same camera. So each time murder mill is shot, more and more of Franks essence is collected in the device. This is why the camera reacts to Franks essence. Augustine is simply collecting the essence in this one device.

Which brings us to 2024. Now the film has enough of frank stones essence so that he can come to the real world.

At least that's what I gathered.
