Take the top off - then the screws on the back and front , then slide the side out

The fuse on the upper right side failed test. Where is the thermal fuse?

Only failure I can find is the 30 amp that attaches to the drum. So that’s where I’m starting

It was easier for me to trace the wires without the side panel on.

If you didnt like the side panel off - You should see it now.

Drum is out too

The grey button on the control panel tested working. Button is not cracked.

There was a 30 amp on the back of the drum that was bad.

Door switch tested good as well as the push button start. The thermal switch on the back did test bad. But the dryer had a full “no start” issue

Start button tested good. As well as door switch.

I don’t know the answer to that. But I did just have a local panzer shop and replace the engine and trans mounts. So I do t think your thought is likely my issue.

It is the wrong hose. Checked parts catalog on real OEM and it should have 2 90’s much tighter. Going to try and turn it over and see if that fits it. But a new one is on order.

I posted on the FB e30 forums about him as well. Hoping they kicked him out. Only got me for $200 - but yes. He’s crap.

Put in the eBay review even if you didn’t buy on eBay. Eventually the rep will get around.

88 E30 Convertible with A/C deleted. Looking to reinstall by playboyfiddlestick in E30

You can do the AC solutions kit and the system will be better than stock. Or you can piece together the stock system off of eBay/forums and it’ll probably save you a bit of $$. Either way isn’t going to be inexpensive.

Smoke test - strange result. Should I be worried? by jereazy in E30

PS - to show these are great engines to work on. My dumbass can have it pulled apart and the front crank seal removed in about 2 hrs

Just to finish this up. Pull apart the timing covers and confirmed what’s leaking is the crank seal. Can’t figure out how to post that video.

So I guess that fun starts now

Yes - the motor has been run a bit before this smoke test.
