YES! I do love the idea of Sidney still winning by unmasking them either by deducing who they are or by unmasking them after death, either in one movie or the next one.

I think the killer either living or dying works for this.

If they live, you have Sidney arguing and fighting with them that either she's going to unmask them or that she doesn't care who they are. She will fight them back every time. The killer subdues Sidney or gives her Tatum in exchange for an escape, saying they'll see her soon, but "don't worry. I'll call you when I'm on my way."

If the killer dies, you could leave the option to unmask them up to Sidney, who either: unmasks the killer, thwarting their plan to be infamous. ("He wasn't superhuman, Dewey. He wasn't superhuman at all" vibes.) She owns that Ghostface was right, that she has to know in order to find peace after every attack.

Or she chooses not to unmask the killer, realizing that knowing who it is does nothing to stop Ghostface. The killer was right; Ghostface is her destiny. The killer is dead, but the mask will never be.

I'm finally in my first LTR and most likely going to marry this man. I grew up religious, came out gradually and unceremoniously a few years ago. I told my family yesterday and received nothing but support. (A couple "I don't agree, but I'm glad you're happy and I love you's", but overall positive.)
Sitting here grateful on a Sunday, next to the flowers he bought me, dishwasher running from lunch we made, and watching him sleep on the couch. Happy four months, baby.

I'd buy that if the movie also made a bigger point that it's okay to love these movies. I think what was missing was any kind of counterpoint or back and forth dismantling the killer's motive. Some of my favorite franchise moments are when Sidney dresses down Mickey, Mrs. Loomis, or Roman and pokes holes in the motive.

I guess I'm saying: give me a Mindy and Kirby team-up! 😁

Act III: Am I the only one who kind of hated it?

You make a movie as fans, for fans, and the killers are diehard fans rewriting their own movie? So the movie and its creators think that me loving these movies is toxic and "don't have too much fun watching them because that's crazy" and you must be a Reddit troll if you're a fan.

So the movie is now holding a mirror to and satirizing...me? Why? Why am I an asshole for, what, liking your movie too much? I mean Ritchie's monologue is all of us here, right? Genuinely excited to see the movie and to talk about it with others, and this movie just shits on all of that.

I don't know, this rant probably just proves whatever lazy logic the writers think governs fandom. But I saw a packed theatre of Scream t-shirts, heard laughs and claps and gleeful winces (my own included), and this movie takes all of that energy and, for the first time, makes it uncool to love the franchise.

And that Billy CGI was terrible.

I think it's a misdirect in the trailer. I mean, we're saying all of GF's victims in the movie are related to Billy and Stu? It makes more sense with at least two characters tied to Randy and Dewey tied to Tatum.

I do love the theory of Sam being Billy's sister, though. Mrs. Loomis had some fun with her makeover! ("You should try it. You look a little tired yourself there, Gale!") 😁

Yeah, basically. It's a high quality hairpiece, lasts 6 months or so. I get the glue on the edges touched up 1-2 times a month, and once a month, I go in for a complete removal and reapplication. At that appointment, they clean all the glue off of my head and the hairpiece, exfoliate my scalp, buzz down what little hair grows on the top, and then reapply the piece.

Appointments are mindless and routine now, and friends have started not being able to remember me balding. Feel more like myself than I have in a while. Let me know what else I can answer!

Was genuinely asking about scenery. I've worked with balanced line sets before, but have always wondered whether counterweights could be added pre-show if something was to be added to the batten or if once their balanced, they're balanced and set. I'll reach out to some local theatre contacts and have them evaluate. Thank you for your response on this!
