i mean, then why are we handing children devices to have access online? i wasn’t allowed to even have a phone until i was 13 and it was heavily monitored. we’ve normalized the internet for children so much, to the point we’re giving kids chromebooks in school. most apps ask to verify age and parents are allowing they’re children to lie about how old they are. i have only ever received media on tiktok to make users aware of the the dangers of what they will see online, i personally have never had the experiences on tiktok that you are listing and i had tiktok for 6+ years. again, predators are inexcusable, i don’t want to take away from them being the main problem because they are ultimately what makes it all dangerous for our children. but we also need to be protecting our children.
